Lets begin!!! A quick #DCRetrospective2021 highlighting the main events and themes of the page this year! lets do this!
The year of 2021 starts with the terrific movie 'Batman: Soul of The Dragon'! Right after the sad departure of Dennis O'Neil, this animated movie is a terrific homage to the legacy he created with batman and DC Comics overall
February 2021 marks the arrival of #SupermanAndLois! The series show to be a game-changer production in CW, besides have problems of approach. Is a toned-down contemporary Superman what pleases the purists, but keeps the ball high.
At last, in March 2021, 'Zack Snyder's Justice League' arrives! Still the greastest piece of media DC have done this year (or ever), and all blood, sweat & tears was worth and gone WAY beyond out expectations.
On April 2021, we have the amazing surprise what was 'Justice Society: World War II', easily the best JSA adaptation outside the comics ever done. if you are hyped for #BlackAdam, this is a hell of a great appetitizer.
On May 2021, we did a celebration of #ArmyOfTheDead arrival (like good cultists we are) and highlighted some of the most famous zombies in DC Multiverse.
On June 2021, we celebrate the arrival of the terrific 'Batman: The Long Halloween' Part 1, definitely the better half of the adaption of the movie. #DCRetrospective2021
On July 2021, we celebrate the 60th anniversary of 'Batman 66' movie release, by highlighting the other movies releated to the Bright Knight! #DCRetrospective2021
On August 2021, we have the unfortunate release of 'The Suicide Squad', the REALLY badly second movie of Task Force X. This just ain't the worst DCEU movie ever because 'JOSStice League' exists.
On September 2021, the much waited 9for me) adaptation of 'Y The last Man' arrives, but the long wait sadly deliver a premature departure. I blame put the show on HULU, it was awesome and a worthy adaptation of the original material.
On October 2021, we had the second edition of 'DC Fandome', which besides the bigger audience, didn't deliver a mindblowing event as the first edition. But that 'The Batman' trailer? *Chef's Kiss*
On November 2021, we celebrated ANOTHER beloved director's cut, this time 'Superman 2: The Richard Donner Cut', which has made their sweet 16 anniversary of release (after people waiting for more than 20 years!!!!)
And we finally reach December 2021, which now we celebrate all the good, the bad, and the ugly what came this year. Let the Discovery merger make the cleasing purge what Warner needs so badly for DC on Film go back on track. Happy new year for everybody! #DCRetrospective2021
As anything related to #TheFlashMovie i refuse to discuss anything now about this absolutely cursed movie because ain't worthy the stress (because well, this movie is cursed). And yes, this gonna happen, but not now. However...
About #BoycottWB, i repeat what i've said before: you have all the right to not watch the movie because all of the mess involved, and complain A LOT online about it. This is a PROTEST, this is valid, this is fair. [+]
But a BOYCOTT just work if you convince a lot (and i say millions) of people of not consume Product X, and make them understand why is important to NOT consume product X, and why is important that company take the blow. [+]
Looks like #TheBatman Universe (as we now can call it) will use Batman, Riddler, Penguin and Catwoman to explore different aspects of Gotham. [+]
My bets are: Penguin will focus on the Mobsters, the GCPD show will focusing on the cops, Catwoman will explore the contrast between rich and the poor at the criminal world, and The Riddler will focus on Arkham and secret societies (Court of Owls and other alike). #TheBatman
In that sense, we gonna have in the next years a very deep exploration of all things #TheBatman, which can be good, but also chalenging for whoever is gonna take the next interaction of the character. And not counting whatever the Snyderverse and/or DCEU version will do next.
Is NOVEMBER 2021, and i wanna celebrate the 16 years of SUPERMAN 2: THE RICHARD DONNER CUT and tell a little bit from the History of the [much] waited director's cut of the legendary filmmaker Richard Donner! #Superman2DonnerCut
Is time to officially dive in the history behind the Richard Donner's cut of 'Superman 2', celebrating their sweet 16 this year!!! So follow the thread, kneel before Zod and lets do this! #Superman2DonnerCut
The beginning: Richard Donner was hired by the Salkinds (Alexander and Ilya , the producers of Superman 1 and 2) to shoot both Superman movies back to back. But at the time, the 2 movies were a juggernaut production, Hollywood's most expansive project ever. #Superman2DonnerCut
Yeah, finally i can say it: i've saw the pílot of #YTheLastMan and this little thread will show my feelings about it. Spoiler alert: i like it. A LOT.
The pilot shows a hsitory very close to the start of the comic book series, with all the men dying except Yorick and his little monkey Ampersand. But thematically, it plays way different. #YTheLastMan
The series is definitely a woman's world since the start, there is just man enough to the women side not be highlighted as such. We saw different women what looks like will be essential to the wrecked world Yorick will have to face it. #YTheLastMan
