'the government has enforced a vaccine mandate on healthcare workers, meaning in BC alone over 3000 hospital staff were on unpaid leave by November 1st.

How have local governments responded...?

They are asking vaccinated employees who have tested positive for Covid to work.

Good to have you involved along these lines. Important though to distinguish here between vaxx efficacy in trials using relative risk reduction (RRR) & vaxx efficiency in real world using absolute risk reduction (ARR).
Lancet:
