It's ironic that the creators of Don't Look Up are also caricatures in the crisis. Obama got the globe to sign a climate change agreement. Trump abandoned it. Don't look at that difference. Biden's pushing climate change legislation that the GOP opposes. Don't look at that either 
The Paris Climate Accord is in no way perfect, but it was still a big deal. And Build Back Better would also make a big difference. Both are more meaningful than a star-studded film. Yet the climate warriors behind that film are actively discouraging advocating for such action.
"Don't Look Up" satirized politicians' response to climate change, as well as the press's. Maybe it would have been a more successful satire if it had included political hipsters. Those who believe posturing in favor of a good cause is more valiant than actually fighting for it.
"Paris Climate & Build Back Better aren't enough." No, they're not. But if you cared about climate, you would acknowledge these measures exist & then propose improvements. You wouldn't say those who are fighting an imperfect fight & those who suppress the fight are the same.
