A professor slumped in his office & was rushed to the hospital where he was placed on oxygen for 3months. His family were paying hundreds of thousnd naira every wk throughout his stay in the hospital for 3 complete months. He later came dwn with stroke. It was even more work for-
-his wife and family. Carrying him around and all, last year he died.

What really happened ?

He was overly stressed, he worked very hard to become a professor and when he did he stil continued working giving himself no breaks. He lectures. He marks his scripts.
He was working 247. He barely rested, no time for rest. He had multiple goals he was chasing, they kept him up always. He was always in the school, in his office, his Bp shot up and kept shooting up and he never knew.
One thing with high blood pressure is you never know you have it until it has done damage. The professor never cared to take his rest or even check his bp, no time for that.
When his body has had enough he had had stroke which is one of the complications of uncontrolled high blood pressure. His wife suffered through it all with him until he died last year.
The thing is alot of people joke with their health. You think you are a machine but the thing is even machines need maintenance. A change of this and that.
Take you rest. Take care of yourself please. Check your bp at least once a month. Book appointments with your healthcare provider and check yourself out at least once a year. It will do you a lot good.
Somethings put you at higher risk of developing high blood pressure and they include:

.Being overweight/obese
.Smoking
.Family history of high bp
.Age (the risk increases with age)
.Sedentary life style
.Making use of certain medications/supplements
.Taking excessive salts
High blood pressure (hypertension) itself is simply the persistent rise in blood pressure. Meaning that you don’t say you have bp after just checking your bp once, No.
Hypertension is said to occur when the maximum (systolic) pressure and minimum (diastolic) pressure is/or exceeds 130/80 or 140/90mmHg.
The unit of blood pressure is given by mmHg which is “millimeters of mercury”. The instrument which is used in measuring blood pressure is known as “sphygmomanometer”.
Like I pointed out earlier, hypertension is mainly symptomless and goes unnoticed until it results in complications such as stroke or heart attack, so it is advisable to regularly check your blood pressure (BP).
Measuring your Bp over regular intervals over 24hrs period is usually the best approach of checking your bp.
Lifestyle changes like

-Losing weight if you’re overweight
-Exercising
-Cutting on excessive salt intake
-Stop smoking
-Reducing your alcohol intake
-Taking your rest
-Drinking loads of water and eating healthy

Can help lower your bp and you may never need to take medications.
Taking medications only comes in when lifestyle modifications seem not to reasonably help in lowering your bp.
It’s important to note that someone who already has a high blood pressure is not to engage in rigorous activities or exercise as that can shoot up their bp to high levels that may be damaging. People with high blood pressure are to do minor exercises like taking walks.
If you are hypertensive even having rigorous sex can send you to your grave. Always check your Bp.

It’s important to note that a lot of things influence the amount of water u take or u should take.
Someone that lives in a hot environment, someone that did intensive exercise, a pregnant woman, or someone that stands for long hours will definitely take or need to take more water than someone that barely does anything through the day (which is in fact not so healthy).

So this man whose genotype was AS was dating a woman whose genotype was also AS and they had no idea. Nobody cared to ask. Love was too sweet. It was when they were deeply invested in each other and were already planning to get married and how many children they were going to-
-have that they ran genotype and other tests. The woman was AS and the man was AS too but he hid it, he told her he was AA.
He couldn’t imagine her with anyone else, he wouldn’t be able to live with himself if that happened. So he lied, that his result came out and he was AA. Every other thing came out fine and they got married but problem started when they gave birth to their first child, he was-

Alpha male ≠ Treating women badly
Alpha male ≠ Harassing women
Alpha male ≠ Taking advantage of women
Alpha male ≠ Posting screenshots
Alpha male ≠ The number of girls u control or sleep with

Being an alpha male goes beyond all that. Take a look at the wolves for example-
-the alpha stands out, they are dominant, they are leaders, they lead the pack. They protect the interests of the pack, they are not about taking advantage, they are first leaders and protectors.
If you want to be an alpha male then first thing is to stand out and that comes from within. That comes from building yourself. Being a leader is not when you are the president or the gov.

“You even don’t have to be a leader to lead”.

Mrs Kim saw an ambulance pull up in her house and medical practitioners in full medical gears rushed in and were like where is her son, where is her son ? She said her son is playing in the backyard. They said what ? They went to the backyard and truly, the boy was there-
-playing and they were shocked, how is this even possible ? Some were like is this sorcery or what.
The thing was earlier in school they ran malarial test on the children as it was customary in abroad where they stay as they were all about preventing and eradicating malaria and also, malaria is dangerous over there unlike here in Nigeria where we somewhat have immunity.
