I can't believe the universities can continue their absolute assault on merit. With the craven, cowardly and reprehensible capitulation of the professoriate. I am deeply ashamed of the action, inaction and profound ignorance of my peers. With painfully few exceptions.
The historical alternatives to meritocracy? Dynasty, aristocracy, nepotism and pull. But I'm sure the luxury-belief crowd will fix that all with hand waving @adwooldridge
