The #January6thInsurrection made me angrier than I’ve been in a very long time. I was furious and it took me a long time just to calm down. My wife advised me to stop watching the news because of how much it was affecting me.

I was angry that elected officials were trying to throw out our votes.

Including a number of Congressman and Senators who did it on just their fourth day in office. Even though they were elected on the same ballots and counted by the same machines and people.

And I saw the images of the violent mob who ransacked the Capitol. And who walked away, many to be arrested and a number of them to serve very mild sentences.

And I knew their fate would have been much, much different had they looked like me.

Truth be told, I was so angry I feared having a heart attack. I don’t normally curse but I was cussing up a storm under my breath. “What third world country have we become here?”

A year later, I’ve calmed down in the sense that my heart rate is normal. And while I can forgive in the Christian sense, there are a lot of people and entities I will never support in any way ever again. That, and research, is how I channel my anger.

I will go out of my way to oppose every politician who attempted to overturn the election. I will support their opponents, whoever they are. I will not patronize businesses that directly or indirectly donate to them.

I will use my First Amendment rights to remind those who were involved in this attempt to overturn our Presidential election of their involvement. And never let them change the subject or turn the page. They are unworthy of being trusted with serious responsibility ever again.

And my feelings and sentiments toward the many COWARDS who didn’t support it but also didn’t oppose it aren’t much different.

The craven many who won’t risk even the slightest career setback in order to protect our country and our Constitution.
