OF COURSE the GOP is involved in a massive, intentional campaign of #VoterSuppression, motivated by partisanship and heavily influenced by race.

Here is the data:
Isn't it a little strange, even if you are the type to assume that their intentions are good that they only have a complete commitment to changing the voting laws IN THE STATES WHICH THEY MOST FEAR LOSING???
The numbers speak for themselves.

This is what the GOP has done everywhere it:
1) Has had the opportunity to do so (full control of State Government) AND

2) Feels like it NEEDS to do it to keep power.

Some of these guys are casting aside any benefit of the doubt to where they’re coming from. Some of them DO NOT BELIEVE IN THE US CONSTITUTION OR DEMOCRACY.

No matter how many flags they wrap themselves with. Some of them simply don’t. If they ever did, they’ve given up on it.

Another way to look at Christmas - for those who are worried about student debt.

Every one of us has incurred a debt that we can never pay off. No matter how hard we work.

And today we celebrate the day God announced Loan Forgiveness!
Every one of us has incurred this form of debt called sin. What is sin? The word literally means “to miss the mark.” We’re not perfect. Our great-great … great grandad, Adam, chose to disobey God. And all of us have chosen to do the same thing. Which isn’t inconsequential.
The Bible says:
“… for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” (Romans 3:23, NIV).

So what? Well, sin costs. We’ve all racked up a balance.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord.”
(Romans 6:23, NIV)

Are you inverted? Do you believe up is down and down is up?

I’ve used this analogy a couple of times before, but pilots can experience a phenomena called spatial disorientation in which they believe and feel the opposite of what is real.

Do you believe those who lie to you?
In the last two years, a significant portion of the country has come to believe that people who are lying to them are telling the truth and that people who are telling them the truth are lying.

Inversion.
The thing is, our senses can be fooled. We can really, truly believe with all our heart that something is true when it’s absolutely false. It feels right. But it’s really not.

Which is why pilots are trained to trust the instruments. Our feelings are more likely to be incorrect.

Personally, I think one of the worst things to happen to the Democrats in 2021 was when the Senate Parliamentarian said that they could pass more than one bill through the reconciliation process.

Why?
Because at that moment, they seem to have become obsessed with stuffing everything (including some very good and very popular ideas such as Universal Pre-K) into one mammoth piece of legislation. The kind that never gets passed by one party with no margin for internal dissent.
If you look at the massive pieces of legislation that have been passed over the last century, almost never is it done by one party working without any cooperation from the other party, in a situation in which even one "NO" vote is one too many.
