#SupremeCourt to shortly hear plea seeking probe into PM @narendramodi ’s security lapse in #Punjab . The plea was mentioned yesterday by Senior Advocate Maninder Singh, CJI agreed to list it today. @PMOIndia @CHARANJITCHANNI

Maninder Singh, Sr.ADV: I have 2 submissions. It is not merely a law and order problem. It is squarely falling in the Special Protection Group Act #PMOIndia . Section 14 says “assistance to the group shall be the duty of every ministry of central or State Government”

Singh: This fell for your lordships consideration with regard to a former PM who was under trial for corruption and the place of the trial had to be shifted. Even if the PM wants to wave the protection, he cannot do that. He does not have the right #PMOIndia

Singh: Therefore under this act, it is not the issue of the State Subject or law and order. It is a national security issue. The fact remains in this trip #PMOIndia there is an impermissible stoppage for 20 mins it is the highest breach!

Punjab is ready to go for election, the breach which has taken place is visibly seen in public domain. It needs to be investigated. State Cannot do it #PMOIndia

Singh: An order has been passed by State after this was matter mentioned. They have constituted a committee. The chairman of the committee is a subject matter of a judgment of this court. He was involved in a huge SCAM #PMOIndia an investigation was conducted agains this judge

Singh: The District Judge of Bhatinda or any other District Judge should take these documents into custody. The investigation must be undertaken by evidence protected. It must be conducted by court monitoring keeping the politics apart #PMOIndia . The judge should be assisted NIA

SG: The committee ought not to be constituted after the case was mentioned. The chief secretary might himself be under the scanner. We need to send the message that this cannot be repeated

AG for Punjab :

hough I have a serious issue with the contents in the petition filed by Lawyers voice, the state of Punjab is taking this very very seriously and we are not taking it lightly, we will go right to the root of this issue. We have ordered probe with a retired judge

and also filed an FIR. The Centre is also investigating the matter."

CJI: They are also saying that if they have reservation about our commission, they have reservation about yours.

SG: The IG has to be removed it will be done so #PMOIndia Our committee will only go into the lapses. Nothing else

AG for Punjab: The lapses will say they will throw the entire guilt on our police force. #PMOIndia I am not seeing this as an adversarial litigation . If someone has to flak they will have to face the flak. The notices sent to my DGP were show cause notice

SG: The commission is for our internal purpose.

CJI: If both of you want to set right your house in order. Its not the issue. It is of the independent enquiry sought by the petitioner.

SG: By tomorrow let everything before the court. I will play my concerns, they will place

ORDER:
Taking into consideration of the arguments advanced. For the time being in view of the issue involved regarding the security of #PMOIndia . We deem it appropriate that we direct the Registrar General of P&H to secure the records pertaining to #PMOIndia visit

We direct the State of Punjab and agencies to cooperate and grant necessary assistance with the investigation and hand over the records #PMOIndia .

Further Order:
The Director General of Chandigarh and one officer of the NIA will assist in collecting the records and produce it before Registrar General of P&H HC

Court directs both the committees not to do anything till Monday.
