I spend like $6k/mo on rent, food, and everything I otherwise feel like doing at any moment so by definition you need about $72k/yr to do whatever you want as a single person (after tax)
This is with living in expensive real estate marketing (Tampa right now, Miami in 2 weeks)
market*
Assign $100k/yr to discretionary spending the rest above that is wealth creation
In my first 1.5 years after college though I lived with my parents and spent like $300-$500/mo stacking everything I made
Then when I moved to first apartment that jumped to like $2.5k/mo
Slow & gradual raise don't make some money then immediately upgrade lifestyle
I drove a Honda Civic for 7 years and didn't buy a new car until I made the entire car's cost in a single month
If you lever up too much you start acting from desperation
You need to be calm to make calculated decisions
