You're reading tons of books.

You're watching many courses.

You're trying countless different things at the same time.

But...

You're not experiencing any kind of progress.

Sound familiar?
Back in 2017, I was stuck in this downward spiral too.

I was "learning" new stuff from a bunch of influencers I followed.

After a while, I realized that I was spending time "learning" as a way to procrastinate.
"Learning" feels like progress

So you lie to ourselves to keep learning

But in reality, you're procrastinating

So you'll say, "man, this is so cool! I'll add this new automation to my emails list. I'll make sure to put this in my new sales funnel. I'm gonna make the bank!"
But "making the bank" never becomes a reality.

Here's why:
Beginners always focus on theory when instead they should be focusing on practicing.
For this reason, I encourage you to start implementing.

Learn the fundamentals.

Understand them deeply.

And put them into practice.

I promise you that you'll learn everything else during your journey.

I battled with anxiety during all my 20s.

But after setting these 5 rules, I've stopped feeling anxious.

thread
Here's some background:

I don't remember ever feeling like shit as a teenager.

It seems all the bullshit I ate and the lack of exercise bubbled up once I turned 20 by manifesting itself as anxiety, brain fog, low energy...
Now that I'm in my thirties, I've tried my best to take care of my health.

I don't feel immortal anymore as I did when I was 20.

I paid my personal trainer $80 for a customized diet plan.

He confessed it took him 15 minutes to craft.

That's a whole lot of money where I'm from, the Dominican Republic.

(That's almost half the minimum wage)

Anywho...
I'm not complaining.

And there's a reason why.

Here's what you didn't see him doing:

- 5 years of daily practice and reading
- A whole lot of endured pain
- Tons of rejection
- Being ridiculed by his family
He persevered despite the pain and rejection.

He delayed gratification.

He educated himself.

And, today, he's winning...

Anything can become content.

Let me show you.
The bad shit that happened to you? That's content.

Like for example that time you froze in front of your class and got so embarrassed you decided to learn public speaking.

This would be a great story to inspire and teach public speaking or how to beat social anxiety.
Or when your thread didn't get engagement? Content.

Like when you spent 3 hours editing a thread that nobody saw.

But the one you wrote off the cuff went viral.

Therefore realizing that being authentic is extremely important online.

Years ago, I got an email.

Its subject line read, "The company must survive."

The next day, half the staff was fired – Including your truly.

All of this happened at the worst time possible.

At a time, I had a 6- month old kid.

But life has its own ways of surprising you:
Before I had my online business, I avoided taking risks.

I thought I was betting on myself by being a good employee.

So I tried to be the best employee.

Overdelivering. Promising impossible deadlines. Working late.

But I did so because I was afraid.
But I did so because I was afraid.

Afraid of pain.
Afraid of failure.
Afraid of judgment

Most people suck at setting goals.

They'll say, "I want to make $120K this year. So that means, I'll have to make $10K a month."

Let me tell you why this is foolish.
“Make $10k this month” is an outcome.

And you can't control outcomes.
The only thing you have control over is your actions.
