I battled with anxiety during all my 20s.

But after setting these 5 rules, I've stopped feeling anxious.

Here's some background:

I don't remember ever feeling like shit as a teenager.

It seems all the bullshit I ate and the lack of exercise bubbled up once I turned 20 by manifesting itself as anxiety, brain fog, low energy...
Now that I'm in my thirties, I've tried my best to take care of my health.

I don't feel immortal anymore as I did when I was 20.
Today, if I eat something that's not part of my regular diet, days later I can feel my mood changing drastically.

(this is not something everyone experiences, though. Some people are just lucky, ex: my wife, who is always in a good mood no matter what she eats)
Anywho, as an entrepreneur, I've realized that health is everything.

When you're healthy, you can perform at your best.

When you're not, you just wish you weren't sick.
Thankfully, after years of trial and error, I've found 5 rules that help me stay healthy.

Here they are:

(Caveat: this works for me. It may not work for you).
1️⃣ Eat when you're hungry

This was a game-changer for me. My weight stays within 185-190lbs. Some days I only eat 1-2 times. Other days I eat 3-4 times.
2️⃣ Avoid ultra-processed food (especially things with gluten)

I'm not perfect. So I'll eat some bullshit from time to time. And when I do, I pay the price: brain fog and low energy.
3️⃣ Exercise every day

If you don't have access to a gym, go for a 10-30 minute daily walk.

This is mandatory.
4️⃣ 10-min sunlight

Fall in love with feeling the sunlight shining on your face. You'll feel instantly better.
5️⃣ Avoid alcohol

I've noticed that I sleep badly when I drink it. So I don't drink it anymore. Not even a sip. And I don't slip with this one.
All of this has helped me control the anxiety – I rarely experience anxiety anymore.

And I religiously follow these 5 rules because the most expensive thing you can ever do is be cheap with your health.

I paid my personal trainer $80 for a customized diet plan.

He confessed it took him 15 minutes to craft.

That's a whole lot of money where I'm from, the Dominican Republic.

(That's almost half the minimum wage)

Anywho...
I'm not complaining.

And there's a reason why.

Here's what you didn't see him doing:

- 5 years of daily practice and reading
- A whole lot of endured pain
- Tons of rejection
- Being ridiculed by his family
He persevered despite the pain and rejection.

He delayed gratification.

He educated himself.

And, today, he's winning...

Anything can become content.

Let me show you.
The bad shit that happened to you? That's content.

Like for example that time you froze in front of your class and got so embarrassed you decided to learn public speaking.

This would be a great story to inspire and teach public speaking or how to beat social anxiety.
Or when your thread didn't get engagement? Content.

Like when you spent 3 hours editing a thread that nobody saw.

But the one you wrote off the cuff went viral.

Therefore realizing that being authentic is extremely important online.

Years ago, I got an email.

At a time, I had a 6- month old kid.

But life has its own ways of surprising you:
Before I had my online business, I avoided taking risks.
