Here are odds of being hospitalized, in ICU and dying from Omicron. If there are even hospital beds available.

In this thread I'm breaking it down by age, to help you see your real risk.

If you're in your 40s and are unvaccinated

1 in 58 people 40-49 will be hospitalized when infected with Omicron, if there are beds.

1 in 217 people 40-49 will end up in ICU, if there are beds.

1 in 787 will die.

If you're in your 50s and are unvaccinated

1 in 28 people 50-59 will be hospitalized when infected with Omicron, if there are beds and staff.

1 in 83 people 50-59 will end up in ICU, if there are beds and staff.

1 in 235 will die.

If you're in your 60s and are unvaccinated

1 in 14 people 60-69 will be hospitalized when infected with Omicron, if there are beds and staff.

1 in 30 people 60-69 will end up in ICU, if there are beds and staff.

1 in 70 will die.

If you're in your 70s and are unvaccinated

1 in 7 people 70-79 will be hospitalized when infected with Omicron, if there are beds and staff.

1 in 15 people 70-79 will end up in ICU, if there are beds and staff.

1 in 21 will die.

If you're 80+ and are unvaccinated

1 in 4 people 80+ will be hospitalized when infected with Omicron, if there are beds and staff.

1 in 46 people 80+ will end up in ICU, if there are beds and staff.

1 in 6 will die.

Here are current numbers of people in Canada who still do NOT have 2 doses:

640,000 people in their 40s

600,000 people in their 50s

380,000 people in their 60s

160,000 people in their 70s

74,000 people 80 and older
