Answer: It is customary for us to come out after visiting a temple and sit for a time at the temple's foot.
Do you have any idea why this custom exists?
This ancient custom was created for a specific reason. In reality, one should recite a shloka while sitting silently at the foot of the shrine. This verse has been forgotten by modern people. Recite this shloka and pass it on to the next generation.
अनायासेन मरणम् ,
बिना देन्येन जीवनम्।
देहान्त तव सानिध्यम् ,
देहि मे परमेश्वरम्॥
The meaning of Anayasen Maranam is that we should die easily, without difficulty, and never grow sick and be confined to a bed. We should not die by suffering, but rather by letting our lives pass us by as we go about our daily lives.
Bina denyen jeevanam indicates that there should be no reliance in one's life. You'll never need to rely on anyone for help. Do not be paralysed or powerless, just as a paralysed person becomes reliant on others. By Sri Krishna's grace.
Dehante tav sanidhyam translates as "Let death arrive in the presence of Bhagawan. Sri Krishna himself stood in front of Bhishma Pitamah at the moment of his death. Allow life to flow freely while receiving this darshan.
Grant us such a boon, Dehi mey Parmeshwaram, O Bhagawan.
While prarthana, recite the aforementioned verse. Do not ask for job, car, bungalow, house, money, or anything else (worldly things); Bhagawan will provide you with them according to your qualifications. That is why, after receiving darshan, one must sit and offer this prarthana.
This is prarthana, not a request or a plea. Prarthana is not for worldly things such as a house, a business, a job, a son or daughter, worldly pleasures, wealth, or other things; anything requested in this manner is begging.
The word 'prarthana' means - 'pra' means 'special’, ‘best’, ‘highest’ and 'arthna' means request. Prarthana thus means ‘special and highest request’.
Note: Don't use the word prayer.
Bhagawab's darshan at the temple should be done with open eyes at all times. Some folks close their eyes and stand there. When we have come to see, why should we close our eyes?
Open your eyes and look at the form of Bhagawan, nija-swarupa, of the divine feet, of the lotus face, of the shringar, take full enjoyment, fill your eyes with the beautiful nija-swarupa.
When you sit outside after darshan, close your eyes and focus on the form you just saw. Close your eyes and meditate on your own soul within; if Bhagawan does not emerge during meditation, return to the temple and have darshan again.
Only one bird (Khag) has a great sense of self-worth and self-respect; may Chataka (that bird's name) live a long life (Chiranjeev). Chataka would prefer to die of thirst, but will only beseech God Indra for water (Purandar).
That is, he solely drinks rainwater. He will never consume pond water or water that has been stored. The bird has a lot of self-respect and self-esteem.
The sugar crystals we eat or the brown sugar (jaggery or GuDa) is not so obviously in the sugar cane until we squeeze it out and process it.
The majority of people believe that drinking warm water with lemon juice and a tablespoon of honey on an empty stomach in the morning will help them lose weight and stay healthy (but don't combine #Honey with warm water).
We all know that drinking a cup of warm water first thing in the morning aids digestion. By combining jaggery and lemon juice, the profit can be tripled. Drinking warm water with jaggery in the morning before brushing your teeth will improve your skin and overall health.
To the east of it, according to Puranic narratives, there are two Nagarams: Pradana-Nagaram and Ma-Nagaram. Eden is the only garden referenced in the Old Testament. The omission is a critical error that renders the entire scenario worthless and ludicrous in every sense.
प्रकर्षेण दानं प्रदानम्।
Thus, Pradana-Nagaram denotes the zone of renunciation that is superior to Ma-Nagaram, the forest to the east. Worldly bliss is symbolised by Ma or Lakshmi. Eden has the same meaning in Hebrew.
In the Old Testament, no etymological explanation is given for these two names, but Moses' name was derived from water, which in its liquid form resembles melting in a Moosa or crucible (a receptacle in which substances are heated to high temperatures).
Evidently, not even a hazy concept was gained when the titles Adam & Eve were borrowed. As revealed to Moses in Genesis, Adam & Eve are not the 1st parents of mankind. The two words provide highly technical n incredibly useful directions for Hindu religious progress.
Despite the fact that much has been written about Tipu Sultan and his period, many aspects of his life remain unknown.
While everyone knows Tipu despised the British and did everything he could to drive them out of India, few people are aware that Tipu wanted to send one of his sons to France for higher education and had even asked Frenchmen stationed in Srirangapatna for assistance.
The French authorities had consented to Tipu's proposal, but they considered it would be preferable if Tipu's kids learned French before travelling to France. They recommended that Tipu's sons study French with a teacher in Srirangapatna before travelling to France.
The 12 ancient winter solstice days - #Thread
21st Dec - 1st Jan
Although it has been linked to pagan rituals, it actually has a Vedic foundation.
We should celebrate the Aditya Festival, the 12 ancient winter solstice days, from 21st December to 1st January, to commemorate the trail of Aditya due to slow shift in the Winter Solstice Day (1 degree shift in the earth's sky every 72 years) due to the precession of the equinox
As mentioned in the quoted Rgvedic verses, the Adityas were originally seven:- Varuna, Mitra, Aryaman, Daksha, Bhaga, Amsha and Savitar. The eighth one is Maarthaanda, the sun-god, also known as Vivasvan, Vivasvat and Surya.
