find your trigger - to me motivation to change has to come from within. you can get inspired by others but the trigger to start your own journey cannot come from them - my trigger was when i was unable to keep pace with my 4 year old daughter while playing with her :) (2/10)
look for your guide - once you have your trigger, next thing is to look for someone who can guide you as u get started - to me that guide/mentor was @SaravananOrg and his team at @AmuraHealth - they simplified the puzzle around weight loss for me! (3/10)
commit to a process - there is no point in finding your trigger and having a mentor if you dont commit to the process which might take you to your destination - i followed my diet plans, routines, habits to the T, i still do - concept of cheat day doesnt exist for me :) (4/10)
measure & track - today is day #506 of me tracking my food - what i eat, when i eat & how much i eat - and my fitness regime. have not missed a single day on this simply because it helps you keep that focus on the end goal ! (5/10)
ruthless discipline - my biggest flex is that once committed to something, i have the ability to be ruthlessly disciplined about it - imbibed from my fauji dad i guess :). example - for almost a year now, i have been eating the same food at the same time (10am, 2pm & 6pm) (6/10)
be inspired - inspiration & learning is all around us, as long as we keep our eyes & ears open - i consider myself fortunate to have come across likes of @drrajatchauhan@SandeepMall@IamShajanSamuel@rajansingh96 - have learnt a lot by jus following them (7/10)
ignore the noise - i have come across many folks who have either questioned what i am doing or discouraged me or have recommended their own theories to me. it is important to keep out such noise. when in doubt i jus go back to the principle of 'committing to the process' (8/10)
break down ur goal - i have always had a moonshot goal in my journey - getting to a certain body weight, running HM, build a morning routine etc. Breaking the moonshot into mini goals - achieving & celebrating the mini goals ultimately has led me to some of my moonshots (9/10)
celebrate - nothing motivates more than success & celebrating every small win is what keeps u on track. i have created my own ways of celebrating - share with friends & family, selfie at the end of a good run, an extra boiled egg after a good workout! do find your way :) (10/10)
