😷Carole’s feeling of invincibility came crashing down in late November 2021 when she started feeling ill

😓Despite numerous negative lateral flow tests, she was having night sweats, fevers and a sense of breathlessness Image
🩸After coughing up blood, Carole visited her GP who noticed her low heart rate and blood clots in her lungs

🚑She was rushed to A&E where she tested positive for Covid and was diagnosed with pneumonia and bilateral pulmonary embolism
💉Carole says she was nervous that she may be treated differently because of her vaccination status

🏥But she says NHS staff treated her with warmth and the utmost respect, never questioning her choice Image
🗣️But Carole admits that two friends she’s known for over 25 years told her she’d been selfish and ‘irresponsible’ for ‘taking up a bed’ in hospital
💉Five weeks after leaving hospital, Carole says she’s still unsure whether to get the vaccine

However, she is eternally thankful for the treatment and care she received from the NHS Image
