"Charles Edwards" is the man pictured in the photo who just pled guilty to stealing software and databases from the government while he was Inspector General for DHS under Obama.

This guy's job was to act as a watchdog for fraud. Instead, he defrauded the government to steal the personal data for a quarter of a million DHS and USPS workers and sell it to India.

Who would steal software and databases to develop a product to sell back to the government? Sounds familiar right? Charles KUMAR Edwards took a page out of the outsourcing playbook.

None of the news articles or the DOJ press release mention Charles K. Edwards' middle name. Another page out of the Hyderabad playbook... use an American name to fool gullible people (like @BarackObama).

After his two year stint as @BarackObama's acting IG,"Chuck" Edwards started Delta Business Solutions out of his $1.3M house in Sandy Springs, #Maryland.

The indictment is fun reading. The whole sordid affair is on full display.

Obama promoted Charles (Kumar) from his job at the TSA. Prior to that Kumar worked at the USPS as their inspector general. So two of his posts were fraud watchdogs.

Murali Venkata (who has not pled guilty yet and DOJ says is presumed innocent) also worked with Chucky at USPS-OIG. He signed an agreement saying he would not remove DHS software. Oops!

Sonal Patel also was a coworker of Chuck/Kumar and Venkat at TSA and USPS-OIG and signed the same computer access agreements which she was about to break.

The source code "Charles" and his gang stole from DHS cost the federal taxpayer $3M to develop.

Chuck (Kumar) swiped about half a million dollars' worth of MS SQL Server product keys. (Don't tell @Microsoft...)

Dear DHS/postal worker: Your personal data is in India now.

Chuck (Kumar) would arrange "roadside meetings" to pass thumb drives and used their personal email accounts to hide what they were doing. They also lied to other @DHSOIG employees what their software requests were for.

Patel used her Yahoo! account to send Microsoft activation keys to Charles (Kumar)'s personal Verizon account.

Patel called a USDA-OIG employee to pitch the EDS 2.0 system that Charles/Kumar's company was working on.

Patel and Edwards met with the witness at a restaurant in DC to badmouth the free version of EDS available to the witness, and try to sell the witness their EDS 2.0 product.

At that point, EDS 2.0 was just vaporware. Kumar & friends offered to install EDS 1.0 so the witness could show it to his boss while they worked on v2.0

Edwards, Venkat and Patel met at Patel's place in Virginia to go over improvements to EDS since Edwards left. The next month they hired a software shop in India to work on v2.0.

A laptop with stolen files and source code was exchanged at a jewelry store at Tysons Corner mall in Virginia. They paid the bodyshop in India $11k for the modified software.

Charles (Kumar) flew from DC to Bangalore to meet with his team. The EDS server he tried to install at his house (without authorization) wasn't working so he gave the India team everything they needed to build and run their own server from source.

From India, Edwards called Patel to explain the database (containing personal data for a quarter million federal employees) to the software team.

Fox News, The Daily Caller, Reuters, TheHill, and the DOJ did not mention the India connection in their stories. They only mention Edwards' company in Maryland, as if the software and data never left our shores.

Our news media is asleep at the wheel...
