Lots of mainstream media have been posting jot-takes blasting Democrats for "wanting to close schools" without noting that schools are almost all open, have been open for over a year, Democrats don't want to close schools, closures that did happen correlated with issues on ground

.@nealkwatra notes beyond mainstream media getting facts wrong while pushing Republican propaganda: attacks on impact of school closing without providing any context of other policy such as Republicans ending child-tax-credit, crushing pre-k, etc., is really bad journalism ...

Basically mainstream media is saying a Democratic policy is hurting children (even though it is not their policy & it is not happening), while never noting how actual Republican policy (which is really just blocking Democratic policy) is actually hurting children.

Mainstream media botched anti-Democratic coverage of "closing schools" is exactly the same as their botched anti-Democratic coverage of "defund the police"

Anyway, I respectfully disagree with Maggie (who gained incredible wealth, power, prestige from 2015-2020) that she is the biggest victim of 2015-2020.
