1/ To the #pulsechain, #pulsex, and #hex community. As the PulseChain launch approaches, it is a good time to decide how we want to shape the public image of the community at large. It is no longer Hex vs everyone else.
2/ PulseChain is an entirely new blockchain, and for it to succeed in the long-term, we need adoption from other projects/communities. It is not enough that individuals simply buy $pls or $plsx or even $hex. We need users, projects, and interest from whales and institutions.
3/ We as #hexicans and early investors/advocators of #pulsechain and #pulsex have a bigger responsibility than we might realize right now. We are naturally going to become the ambassadors for many, the public facing crowd onboarding new people and projects in.
4/ It's true @RichardHeartWin receives a lot of criticism and there are those who hate him and openly attack him and #hex (and now #pulsechain). But he is a master at fighting fire with fire while keeping things civil and professional.
5/ He is a master debater. He knows when to push on the gas pedal, and when to back off and educate.
6/ But I've seen many new investors join the community recently and naturally adopt this type of language and hateful retaliations against fud and critics, and it's not creating a good look for us as a whole.
7/ There are many instances of people who drop fud or criticism about Richard, $hex, $pls, and $plsx that don't necessarily have any malicious intent, but are just ill informed. By asking fud-type questions to the community they are looking to be corrected or reassured.
8/ Retaliating, calling them stupid, or laughing them out of the room telling them they're just mad they missed out on massive gains is not helping the public image of the community or the projects we stand for. Instead of drawing in new investors, this behaviour pushes them away
9/ This will become increasingly important after the mainnet launch, as the #pulsechain airdrop and launch hype draws in millions of new investors to the community. Along with the hype... the fud will also naturally flow over from haters of Richard and Hex.
10/ But keep in mind that new investors will be watching how you respond, and that includes projects and communities who consider adopting #pulsechain. That includes new whales who have never heard of @RichardHeartWin or hex. That includes institutions.
11/ Let us set a precedent to new investors and welcome them in by setting a good example. It is not our job to be nasty to those who drop fud. That reflects poorly on us as a whole, fuels their fud even further, and drives other investors away.
12/ It is our job to educate and onboard new users in a welcoming manner. To be seen as a friendly community, not as one that attacks those who misspeak. To be open to other blockchains co-existing, and not develop a #pulsechain vs everyone else kind of attitude.
13/ This is not a reflection on the current state of the community as a whole, but there have been enough instances that I feel this needed addressing, especially as the world largest airdrop approaches.
14/ Let's not forget that we may be all active in this community for many different reasons, but we have one common goal: to drive the success of #pulsechain, #pulsex, and #hex forward.
