2/ The #Ethereum ICO worked similarly to Pulsechain's sacrifice phase. #Pulsechain's price expectations/predictions are not as ridiculous as they might seem when you compare the two blockchains side by side.
3/ The Ethereum presale took place from Tuesday, 22 July 2014 to Tuesday, 2 September 2014. The price of ether was initially set to a discounted price of 2000 ETH per BTC, for 14 days, and declined linearly to a final rate of 1337 ETH per BTC.
4/ In the first 12 hours, more than 7 million ETH was sold for around $2.2M. In the first 2 weeks, Ethereum raised over 25,000 BTC from selling over 50 million ETH. At the time, it was the largest cryptographic token sale to date amounting to about $17.3 million at the time.
5/ That puts the price of $ETH during the ICO at around $0.31. Now let's say you decided to buy yourself a cool 100,000 of it. At the time, you would only pay $31k. Not a small amount of money, but peanuts compared to today's price.
6/ From 2014 to March 2017, the price of ETH stayed in the range of $0.70 and $21. You turned $31k into $2.1 million in 3 years. Crazy yes, not but so unbelievably ridiculous that it's hard to fathom.
๐
7/ Now let's say you decide to hold. Maybe it can double or even triple to $63 ๐ค Or you know what, maybe it might even 5x from here to $100. Now it's starting to get a little difficult to call yourself sane, but you hold anyways.
8/ 3 months later, in June 2017, the price peaks at $414. Holy F-in sht ๐คฏ๐คฏ๐คฏ your $31k investment is now worth $41 MILLION.
9/ The hypothetical price predictions of early ETH holders, that seemed absolutely ridiculous at first, has not only come true, but it surpassed them.
10/ Do you cash out for $41 million now? There's no way it can get any higher, right? But whatever, you're a mad man and you decide to just hold and ride this out. Who knows... ๐คทโโ๏ธ
11/ 6 months later, in January 2018, ETH's price explodes to $1,418. You now have turned $31k into $141,800,000.
WTACTUALF.
These are fairy tale numbers, not real life. Okay, there's no possible way this is going to get any higher. It... um... isn't realistically possible.
12/ You should be put in a mental hospital. You decide to hold.
But then... the price drops. Sharply. You live in regret, shame, and depressed for the next 3 years as the price fails to return back to its once ATH of $1400. You even have nightmares about not selling.
13/ Then, just as you're mentally recovering, between February 2021 and May 2021, the price erupts to $4,379.
You now turned your initial investment of $31k into $437,900,000.
An absurd number that nobody in their right mind could fathom when they first invested.
14/ Most of us weren't aware of crypto early enough to be in the ETH ICO. And if we were, we certainly wouldn't have been doing price predictions in the thousands of dollars. Under $100 would have been more reasonable. Under $50 would have been a safer bet.
15/ But that's where we are today. With #pulsechain. Many of us who sacrificed hold enough $PLS or $PLSX tokens where price predictions become a little ridiculous when the price reaches even... $1.
16/ But the reason it seems ridiculous now, is because we are buying $PLS (or $PLSX) when $ETH was $0.31.If #pulsechain succeeds in the coming years, I hope we're all diamond hands who can ride this ridiculous wave together.

2/ First, the Golden Rule:
Never share your seed phrase. There is NEVER ANY REASON you should or need to share your private keys with anybody. If anybody asks for it, you can assume with 100% certainty that they are trying to scam you.
3/ Let me repeat that:
Never share your seed phrase. There is NEVER ANY REASON you should or need to share your private keys with anybody. If anybody asks for it, you can assume with 100% certainty that they are trying to scam you.
1/ To the #pulsechain, #pulsex, and #hex community. As the PulseChain launch approaches, it is a good time to decide how we want to shape the public image of the community at large. It is no longer Hex vs everyone else.
2/ PulseChain is an entirely new blockchain, and for it to succeed in the long-term, we need adoption from other projects/communities. It is not enough that individuals simply buy $pls or $plsx or even $hex. We need users, projects, and interest from whales and institutions.
3/ We as #hexicans and early investors/advocators of #pulsechain and #pulsex have a bigger responsibility than we might realize right now. We are naturally going to become the ambassadors for many, the public facing crowd onboarding new people and projects in.
