No Internet for Yemen. So Iranian news picks up the slack. presstv.ir/Detail/2022/01…’s-Hudaydah
Its an interesting narrative. Houthis point to Afghanistan as proof that they can win over larger power. The navies of Iran, China and Russia practice together in the Northern Indian Ocean while Iran's President Raisi is in with Moscow for a 20 year plan. reuters.com/world/india/ir…
There is entirely new sphere of influence where frenemies are clustering together to oppose U.S. wishes while fighting amongst themselves for scraps. UAE blames Iran for latest Abu Dhabi attack. Days after Tahnoon gladhanded Raisi. UAE bombs Yemen. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
The Abraham Accords was the first "Peace deal" that ignored the actual conflict and occupation in Israel and ended no conflict. It did streamline the movement of money, weapons and technology between dictatorships and Israel. What could possibly go wrong? cfr.org/in-brief/whats…
Why the links between often opposing forces? Easy. dictators get shit done. Russia, UAE, China, African and Asian leaders can move money into their pockets, grab resources, reshape borders and grab opportunities while the US and allies fumble around bickering amongst themselves.
The shared interests of this alliance is to suppress popular uprisings, democracy and what they call "political islam" groups that don't think one family should rule millions of people. Yes there are terrorists there too but that definition is broadened. responsiblestatecraft.org/2020/01/24/why…
We can't even agree who our biggest enemy is. GOP says Ghina, Dems say Russia. North Korean and Iran get consolation The reality? We are our own worse enemy. Now would it be in the direct interest of this new block of Frenemies to sow discord in America? today.yougov.com/topics/interna…
We have to get our shit together or we will suffer the consequences. Maybe Russia doing something stupid in democratic Ukraine will focus both American parties on the preservation and protection of democracy. But I don't hold out hope. npr.org/2022/01/03/106…
There is one political party that seems to exist on distraction, faux outrage, tabloid subjects and steering Americans away from fundamental threats to freedom and democracy. Partners and allies will slip away as we descend into Idiocracy.
America has skin in the game in Ukraine. Our advisors are going to be killing Russians in a stand off war using hi tech weapons without taking their hands out of their pockets. Let's remind the Russia friendly clowns that this is a real war. stripes.com/theaters/europ…
A blacked out conflict is not a meaningful conflict to outside nations. The war in Ukraine is going to be very hard to track and make sense of when Russian attacks on the internet and even journalists So expect fuckery. Here is a great source on Yemen: yemen.forensic-architecture.org
Here is a great granular tool on the Ukraine...but the map relies on social media and news postings. Let's see if the media covers this war. American faces are important but we won't see many. liveuamap.com
The Agency has been training and placing local assets since 2015. Ideally they would link up with SF and SEAL teams to coordinate with UK, Canadian and NATO units to deliver intel for targeted strikes. I would assume surgical air strikes would be next. news.yahoo.com/cia-trained-uk…
Or Putin may blink. Carefully measuring how much he can get away with and waiting for the next President to try again. I don't know if Biden will make a decisive call to set an example but he knows Putin has playing this sticky game for thirty years. carnegieendowment.org/2019/06/20/thi…
Putin's strategy is to slice and cut nations while using the constant push and pull of threats and fuckery to internally destroy cohesion. Will he steal another chunk of Ukraine, rendering asymmetrical use of force by NATO look like overkill? Let's see. axios.com/putins-options…
Good breaking news about bad news. Despite UAE air strikes destroying the phone exchange/internet in Yemen. They forgot that NGO's have sat phones. So WaPo put the civilians casualties up on the front page. washingtonpost.com/world/2022/01/…

Don't forget, in addition to biz and sedition woes, Trump was co-opted and corrupted by a foreign dictatorship: "Barrack inserted language praising the UAE into a Campaign speech to be delivered by the Candidate,... “I nailed it. . . for the home team,” justice.gov/usao-edny/pr/f…
When your accused agent of a foreign government lifestyle is hampered by an ankle bracelet. “He regularly surfs and attends fitness classes,” aspentimes.com/news/aspen-co-…
Barrak was head of the inaugural committee. An easy way to funnel cash into Trump's properties. Yeah the same company in trouble in New York for overstating values. etc. Don't you love it when a plan comes together? apnews.com/article/distri…

Tip of the Day: Russia's EMERCOM, releases a helpful guide on the "urgent burial of corpses in wartime and peacetime" medium.com/dfrlab/russias…
"the authorities need to prepare coffins, pathological bags, disinfectants, personal protective equipment for the skin and respiratory organs. It is said that the distance between the coffins should be at least half a meter, it should be filled with layers of earth and brushwood"

Shouldn’t this be an FBI press release not a CNN story? cnn.com/2022/01/20/pol…
“"It was Rudy and these misfit characters who started calling the shots," a former Trump campaign staffer said. "The campaign was throwing enough sh*t at the wall to see what would stick."
“After Trump failed to stop battleground states from certifying Biden's victory, Trump campaign officials, led by Giuliani, launched its parallel effort to disrupt and undermine the Electoral College process. This included publicly promoting false claims of fraud”

Follow the bouncing ball with @konrad_muzyka, read the stories and marvel at the size of the Russian buildup. A-10 pilots are drooling at the nice neat lineups economist.com/europe/what-ar…
This is an historic moment as Russia plays Cuban Missile Crisis Chicken Part Two against America. Or are they just stress testing NATO and the US? Half measures? Steal a little Ukraine? Or is it all Vlad's Mycraine?
The U.S. military is built to do many things. Probably the best capability they have is to fight head to head against Russian armor and air formations. But for some reason the Russians made us think they would invade the US.

Journalist @carolecadwalla is getting bashed about and insulted in court by Arron Banks. Wonder why? "Katya Banks had entered Britain on a passport sequentially numbered to the passport of Katia Zatuliveter, a woman MI5 had claimed was a Russian spy" theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/j…
"Lawfare" is just another tool used to impoverish, distract, diminish and silence journalists. It doesn't really work. It's more of a badge of honor.
Thankfully there is entertainment aplenty.
