बौद्धों के काल में जब अयोध्यादि तीर्थ लुप्त हो गये थे केवल तीर्थराज बने रहे उन पर बौद्धों का जोर नं चला। महाराज विक्रमादित्य ने प्रयाग की दूरी पुराणों से देख देखकर तीर्थों की स्थिति का पता लगाया और फिर से स्थापन किया।

Tulsidas didn't start any new school like post 1000AD Vaishnavacharyas. His tradition is the same as that of Veda Vyasaya, Sukdeva, Yagnavalkya ie श्रौत-स्मार्त tradition which existed before the advent of post 1000AD Vaishnavism. He states it by "नानापुराणनिगमागमसम्मतं यद्...."
I quote Tulsidas not because I like him. I like him because he never deviates from श्रुति मार्ग of Veda Vyasa, Sukdeva, and other ancient Vedic sages. The same can't be said about post 1000AD Vaishnavacharyas.
