THREAD: How to sell $50K+ deals as a small business.
Without the backing of a big brand, selling high ticket deals can seem impossible.

Truth is, its not.

But the tactics are different - there is more to overcome.

Let's dive in...
Take the position of the buyer.

Misallocating $50K+ is a serious error & could result in demotion or termination.

Choosing the wrong vendor impacts families & careers.

Therefore, big buying decisions are made with EMOTION.
Driven by self preservation, buyers create this narrative:

Deals with large companies are less risky.

Why?

Perceived safety & legitimacy in size.

The real reason:

Superiors are more likely to "understand" decisioning if the product doesn't work out.
With emotions & false logic in the way a strategic roadmap is required.

Introducing...

The 4-Step SMB Sales Strategy

1. Business Knowledge
2. Domain Expertise
3. Acknowledge & Reassure
4. Look Legit
Business Knowledge:

Speak to prospects as a business owner - not a sales pro.

Weave in customer stories that:

Include reputable brands & demonstrate profound knowledge of financial & operational impacts.

Goal: establish industry intelligence.
Domain Expertise:

Deliver unique & original opinions with confidence.

Discuss future implications of new regulation, technology, etc.

Provide 2-3 FREE ideas that improve their current situation.

Goal: give FREE consulting.
Acknowledge & Reassure:

Illustrate clear understanding they feel risk associated with buying from you.

Dispel fears through personal guarantees, clear next steps, & post sale plans.

Goal: fears and objections have been address head on.
Look Legit:

Large transactions must be approved by multiple people.

Likely, many will get the pitch second hand.

Make it easy through solid collateral, web presence, & attention to detail.

Goal: prospect will be excited to present to peers.
The 4-Step SMB Sales Strategy turns apprehensive buyers into internal advocates.

Create a strong personal relationship centered around value & empathy.

Lastly, address disadvantages head on - it shows awareness & provides an opportunity to challenge.

10 ways to grow 10x.

THREAD: tactics for growing your bootstrapped startup.
Without raising capital, my first startup went from dorm room idea to millions in sales.

Bootstrapping is a rewarding experience, with lucrative prizes.

However, its difficult & can take years.

With these blueprints, growth would've been faster.
1. Clear Responsibilities:

If tasks aren't assigned, they won't get done.

Wear multiple hats, but two can never wear the same hat.

Find the intersection of your skills & desires and own it.

Accountability = speed.

I turned $50 into $100,000 with this psychology-powered sales strategy.

THREAD: The Rule of Reciprocity (and how to implement it).
Here’s how I did it:

An SEO prospect posted about his favorite activity.

Saturday AM donuts with his daughter.

To get a meeting, I sent a box of gourmet donuts with the following note:

“Jim - Hope you & your daughter enjoy!”

An hour later…
I received a thank you note & a calendar link.

My gift was

1. Personalized
2. Meaningful

And rewarded with undivided attention.

After demonstrating value, he was in, and has paid over $100K in invoices.

199,000% return - not bad.

90% of startups fail.

Use science to increase your odds of success.

THREAD: The Winner Effect & how it applies to your startup:
Consistently winning is often attributed to talent or luck.

Both play a role, but it's far more scientific.

Understand & apply these biological principles to make millions.

Let's dive in…
The Winner Effect refers to:

An animal who has won a fight is more likely to win subsequent bouts, even against tougher opponents.

The exciting part?

These laws govern humans too.

Simply put, small victories create pathways to larger ones.

Start winning small.

Faster decisions will improve your life.

A framework for choosing goals, making decisions and fulfilling potential.

THREAD: "The Person I Want to Be"
This simple framework has:

- Improved relationships
- Enhanced energy
- Increased income
- Reduced stress
- Clarified goals

The best part?

Choices regarding health, wealth, & relationships can be answered with Yes or No.
Before breaking down the framework, some context:

Everyone has grand visions for their future-self, but real time decisioning doesn't always match those ideas.

Choices made today enable OR prevent visions from becoming reality.

Align the current & future-self.

Here's how:

I paid $75,000 for this lesson, but you’re getting it FREE.

THREAD: A tactical approach for turning losses into wins.
Whether business, life, or sports owning a method for handling losses is required as they’re inevitable.

Every loss is an inflection point - good or bad, is determined by the strategy.

With process, I turned a big L into a W, and created a recipe I’ll use for life.
So, how did I earn this $75K Lesson?

At 23, my 2nd year in business, a banker on his way out, enrolled us in an "Express Lending Program"

Fancy talk for 9% interest rate for a barely-bankable company.
