If you wanna look at how frightening the mainstreaming of antisemitism has become, look no further than @Timcast hosting Andrew Torba of Gab, an extremely virulent antisemite.

His platform was used by the Tree of Life shooter, and is the de facto social media site of neo-nazis.
I support free speech. I don’t believe in cancelling.

That doesn’t mean I support giving each & every hateful individual a platform either.

Torba is not someone who posted some joke comments 10 years ago. He is someone who is posting or reposting, almost daily, antisemitism.
Are we supposed to believe that if Torba posted daily anti-black screeds, mocked slavery and talked about how he wants to remove all black influence from American society, Tim Pool would have him on his podcast to discuss the importance of alternate social media?

Obviously not.
It would be like inviting David Duke and have an interview on what it’s like to run for a government office and never discuss his views.

The message is clear: antisemitism just doesn’t matter.
He likes to call Jews antichrists as
He was banned after a complete anti Semitic meltdown so sadly a lot of his tweets have disappeared but anyone who wants to check on Gab can find a whole lot more there.
Tons of people hate Tim Pool. They mock him and insult him over anything, often clearly in bad faith.

No one jumped on this.

Get in a shouting match with a rapper? Two weeks of non-stop coverage & follow-ups.

Invite one of the most prominent antisemites in America on? Nothing.
It's not like any of this is from years ago. It's from months and weeks ago:

ZOG = Zionist Occupied government
Holodomor = Claim that Jews are responsible for the starving death of Ukrainians ordered by Stalin

This is who he invites.
Plenty of antisemitic memes too, obviously.
See the hat he’s wearing? It’s the ‘Deus Vult’ symbol embraced by the far-right. It’s the Crusader slogan and they use it to signal that there needs to be a new crusade to cleanse the West of Jews and Muslims.

That’s what the guy was wearing on Tim Pool’s show for 3 hours.

Did you know that Stalin is directly responsible for the death of over 3 million Jews? Or that he was planning to kill off the rest of Soviet Jewry but was prevented by his premature death? Or that Lenin himself helped shape his antisemitic policies?

A historical thread, part 1
Preface: The problem with threads like this is, where to start? When it comes to Soviet antisemitism, the answer isn’t easy.

Do we start with the arrival of Communism & the creation of the Yevsektiya? The civil war & it's pogroms? The Tsar's antisemitism that preceded it all?
While the plan is to cover all of it, I decided to cover the deadliest period in the Soviet Jewish History, the early 30s to WWII.

Part 2 will go back in time from the end of the Tsarist regime up to the purges.

Part 3 will be the post-WWII years up to Stalin’s death.

Celebrities attacking Israel or showing 'solidarity with palestine' is common not because of antisemitism, but because it's the easiest low-risk way to establish an illusion of social consciousness with as little backlash or cost possible.

A cynical thread about self-serving PR.
1) Brand recognition

The I/p conflict is by far the most recognizable out there. Did you know that 31 armed conflicts killed more people than the I/p clashes from last year? That all of them had a far higher ratio of civilians:combatants deaths? Neither does the average IG user.
When you express an opinion on I/p, everyone immediately knows what you're talking about. If you talk about Tigray, most of your fans won't know what you're referencing, and the impact is going to be minimal. If you talk about other conflicts, you might ruffle the wrong feathers.

In defence of Haredi education, a thought experiment & rant in thread form.
Imagine if you will a newly formed Haredi organization, with a very simple goal: we are so saddened by the poor levels of literacy in Jewish studies in the reform and conservative day schools, we will now use all of our power to reshape it as we see fit. Lhavdil even MO ones!
We will get backers who do not live in those people’s communities, and even though we do not have any ground support from those communities for our goals, it doesn’t matter: Judaism is too important to let people who are blind to their own good.

On the politicization & poletimicization of Halacha, a thread about the vaccine (or lack thereof)
Caveat: I am not discussing, nor interested to, the science behind the vaccines, or the politics associated with the pro/anti/cautious crowds.

I just want to clarify a point I’ve seen misused by both sides of the debate with regards to Halacha
The last thing any Jew who believes in Torah and would fall under the umbrella of what is defined as Orthodox do is “How can I fit the Halacha within my opinions”.

Now I am not accusing anyone of doing this consciously, but it’s always necessary to make a self-assessment of why

On Judaism's position on abortion, and injecting Judaism in the American abortion debate; a thread.
I wasn't going to involve myself at first. People get too emotional and are unwilling to discussing things politely, but after seeing so much misinformation & misinformed posts over the last two days, so I had to say this:

Judaism is neither "pro-life" nor 'pro-choice".
Caveat: I'm not interested in a political debate, nor about the morality of abortion. I'm not here to discuss Roe v. Wade, the Constitution, whether it's healthcare or any other modern political issues. All I am doing is showing what's the traditional Jewish position on the issue

If someone said

“The fact that I eat meat doesn’t invalidate my veganism”, you’d laugh

“The fact I’m eating doesn’t invalidate my fasting”, you’d roll your eyes

“The fact I’m married doesn’t invalidate my celibacy”, you’d groan

A thread about Hanukkah & intellectual honesty
The Jewish people is named Israel. One of the reasons why, our Sages say, is that Jews are meant to be Yashar E-l, straight with G-d.

To be intellectually honest is one of the most important virtues in all of Judaism. That’s why it’s important to make a simple the distinction:
Your innate Jewishness cannot be affected by what you do. A Jew is a Jew is a Jew. Even if ch”vs a Jew is eating a cheeseburger with bacon on Yom Kippur while sitting in a church, he is still Jewish (even if Halacha dictates we treat him differently as a result)
