Falwell and his wife are trash.

This person has never not been insufferable.
I mean, how hollowed out, sociopathic, and obnoxious does a person need to be to think “Here is a chance for me to use my cancer to show that I don’t care about other people with cancer… or other people at all, really.”

The guy in this video freaks out on smoothie shop staff and then throws his drink and says totally inappropriate shit.

Totally wrong. Totally not excusable.

The back story…

His child had just been rushed to the hospital after a seizure from a nut allergy apparently triggered by the smoothie.

Again, doesn’t excuse his behavior at all. Not sure whether a mobbing is proportional tho.

I think the store staff should have a say.

Bumping on the hi-fi this morning: a tasty latin-infused surf guitar album from Ethan Luck.

I put this album on and just drift into a whole vibe. This clip is “La Luna”.

If you like classic surf rock (ie Dick Dale, the Surfaris, Jan & Dean, etc,) you’ll probably dig this.

This thread has always stood out in my memory as the most ominous thing I’ve ever written here.

I know narcissists. I knew what Trump meant. And I was worried he was right.

Four years later, I’m convinced he was.

Narcissists are vipers. They sense your heat - your wants and needs and emotions - and they use them to exploit you.

Trump found the media’s deepest desire - the attention he brought to them - and he exploited it.

The media is now all but working to ensure Biden loses in 2024.
I remember how chilling I found that interview four years ago.

The scorpion told the frog exactly how it would exploit the frog’s gullibility…

…and the frog just patted itself on the back for landing an interview with the scorpion.

Ashley Parker is the new Maggie Haberman.

Unfortunately, we still have the old Maggie Haberman too.
Just so everyone understands, Parker was a reasonable and measured journalist for years.

Last January, however, WaPo promoted her into the role of White House Bureau Chief.

She stepped into the Big Boss seat… just as clicks began the inevitable post-Trump slide.
So, a person who has never been the boss replaced a well regarded and effective predecessor right as clicks fell off a cliff.

Parker went from being just another reporter on the White House beat to winning a Pulitzer Prize and becoming WH Bureau Chief under Trump.
