1/ "My father spent the equivalent of a year's salary on my plane ticket to the US so I could attend Stanford. It was my first time ever on a plane," Google CEO Sundar Pichai once said in an interview.
2/ For many, #SundarPichai's story would seem like something straight out of a movie, a tale of a boy born without a silver spoon in the mouth going on to achieve one of the most coveted positions in the world through sheer hard work.
3/ Sundar was born in Chennai to Regunatha and Lakshmi Pichai. His mother worked as a stenographer before she had children; his father was an electrical engineer and managed a factory that made electrical components.

Such was the charisma of #NetajiSubhashChandraBose that on his call, thousands of people volunteered to fight against the British Raj in no time. Many in the crowd would weep in the wake of his brilliant oratory, the fire of freedom lit in their hearts. ImageImage
2/ Among the many he inspired was 16-YO Saraswathy Rajamani.

When Bose tried to return the jewelry she had donated to her father, an indignant Rajamani replied, “They are not my father’s, they are mine. I gave them to you, & I will not take them back.”

At the age of 20, Sindhutai was left for the dead by her husband with a 17-day old girl child who she had given birth to in a cow shed. She walked to her parents’ house for shelter, but her family turned her away.
With nowhere else to go and a baby to feed, Sindhutai started begging in trains and on the streets in order to survive. Fearing for her safety and that of her daughter, she spent her nights in cemeteries and cowsheds.
It was during these difficult times that Sindhutai began spending time with orphaned children and realized how difficult life was for them. She adopted a dozen orphans and took on the responsibility of keeping them clothed and fed, even if it meant begging for longer hours.
