Aside from coming to greatness through historically black colleges and universities and decades of hard work at the grassroots, Thurgood Marshall appears to be the last (and perhaps only) member of SCOTUS to have attended public colleges and universities.
It's no wonder the court almost never works for the regular folks because most don't have blue blood pedigree, or the greed and pretentiousness to strive for it.

What must be acknowledged is that Justice Sotomayor has humble roots, and she continuously makes the people proud.
What's also clear is all of the ivy league credentials on the court right now do nothing for their quality, integrity, humanity or, what they're actually there for, judgment. Maybe it's time for a regular Joe (or Jane) to sit on the court and represent the people.

Reagan promised to nominate a woman to SCOTUS. Obama was determined to nominate a Latina. Even Trump promised to nominate a woman, even though his choice is a dollar store brand, low brow, misogynistic, unprepared ideologue.
But the biggest worry people conservative Americans have is every that Biden candidate is far intellectually superior to their potential conservative colleagues already on the court.

That puts a serious dent in the notion of "white supremacy."
Consequently, republicans will nut up completely, and do their best to character assassinate and destroy the candidate no matter who she is.

Imagine being stalked. Then imagine being tired of the stalker so you say "I'm just over it," and the stalker simply goes away.

That'd never happen because, short of police intervention, the stalker has a say, too.

Folks who are just "over" #COVID19 are in the same position.
It doesn't matter if your political orientation leans left or right, being "over" a pandemic that remains in progress is juvenile, self-destructive, narcissistic and dumb. The pandemic is a pain for everyone. But it is an equal opportunity destroyer.

Actually, that's not true.
It's even worse for people who have chronic and fragile medical conditions that increases their vulnerabilities and risks. Nevertheless, there are so many people who believe that because they feel entitled to return to their lives in unrestraint, they simply can make it so.

Jonathan Greenblatt associated RFK, Jr., with Progressives in order to make what looks like a false equivalency with the extreme right over antisemitism on @NicolleDWallace.

When was RFK ever a progressive?

RFK, Jr.'s Anne Frank comment was indefensible and reprehensible.
But Greenblatt's comments were as equally offensive because they are alarmist. Yes, antisemitism is a critical problem that is metastisizing. That doesn't justify Greenblatt's pisition.
It's not even clear what JFK Jr.'s political base is. His antivax ideas appear to have no ideological borders. Whereas far right radicalism and extremism actually represents a significant ideological wing is a political party.

I deeply appreciate @NicolleDWallace's segment with Col. Vindman and Amb. McFaul concerning the potential Russian invasion of Ukraine. However, it was bone chilling.

No, it was frightening.
There is an arrogance and narcissism in this country where we often can't see the rest of the world because we can't see past ourselves. We often behave like the people who act like reading text messages is far more important than paying attention to the car we're driving.
But every now and then need to look up pay attention and remember there's more to the world than just us. Some so-called experts and analysts want to dissect and micromanage the administration's policies and approaches seemingly for fixing blame instead of fixing problems.

No matter how good people say the economy is, some people still don't feel it. No matter how much improved conditions are with the pandemic, it's still here. No matter how much gets done, big major important stuff is still getting blocked.
But no matter how bad things are they're still light years better under Biden and the democrats. Every now and then it's important to stop all of the whining, fighting, accusations and BE and look at what we have, and where we are.
We know who and what republicans are. They have no agenda, plan or goals. McQonnell couldn't even answer the question when asked. So while we know that there's a high hill to climb due to voter nullification, the one thing that we can't do is give up and make it easy for them.

A couple of days ago, I saw a tweet suggesting that it's past time to put Harriet Tubman on the twenty-dollar bill. One response said that there are more important things to be done right now. I had to stop and think about that for a moment.

Really?
It's true that placing her on the bill isn't an exigent matter of life or death. It's not even a major policy item. But when you consider that people are still enraged about the racist image of the confederate flag being paraded through the Capitol during the insurrection...
...yet folks carry racist slavers around in their pocketbooks and wallets every day of their lives and never give it a second thought, there is a problem. There's a serious disconnect between the fight we think we're fighting, and what many of us truly understand the fight to be.
