(1) Strangely, Bobby Dassey and his friend Michael butchered a deer in Bobby's garage on 11/03 or 11/04/2005.
Is the object in Bobby's garage video seen below a saw?
(2) There are a lot of different types of saws, but that object looks like a "Bow saw"
(3) This G-MAN Bow Saw looks like a pretty good match. The shape is very distinctive.
Hey @Joriz74, was this Bow Saw taken in as evidence, or does the walk through video prove it was not taken?
(4) The frame doesn't look quite solid, but some Bow Saws are designed to fold.
(5) There are two places where the saw handle looks discontinuous. This could be where it disconnects or folds.
(6) There are a lot of products out there that work a lot of different ways.
(7) Is it possible that the police took 7 pairs of panties as evidence, but overlooked a "bow saw" that had been used to saw bones?
(8) Dr. Eisenberg found evidence that Teresa's bones had been cut w/a tool, and a bow saw is laying on the floor.
Maybe that saw had been used to dismember Teresa.
Maybe contaminating the bow saw with deer blood was Bobby's ploy to eliminate DNA evidence.
(9) Is that another Bow Saw on the right side of this video capture frame?
(10) Maybe it's the same one. Good grief.
(11) In his interview, Bryan Dassey said it was strange that Bobby butchered a deer in their Mom's garage, and we know Barb not only knew about it, but seemed to encourage Bobby to collect the roadkill deer, according to their story about it.
And yet, a bow saw.
(12) Here is the story Barb told police regarding the deer in her garage:
(13) When Barb refers to "the Schultz's", I believe she may be referring to the white stone quarry just east of the intersection between WI 147 and Avery Road, also owned by Michels Materials, but I am not sure.
There is also a Schultz Elementary School in Mishicot.
(14) I think this may be the Schultz's property, directly across from Michels Materials.
(15) @Joriz74 located the roadkill deer using the police dispatch log.
"ON 147 .1 W/O JAMBO CREEK"
(16) In this same vicinity, Human Remains Detection dogs found blood and tissue. Again @Joriz74 was on the scene:
(17) Then came Tom Sowinski's affidavit, including his "X" on Avery Road, right by Michels Materials, the Schultz home, and the roadkill deer, which brought Barb and Bobby to the scene with field dressing knives.
(18) Now we have:
- Blood & Tissue at Michels Quarry
- A road kill deer in the west bound lane of WI-147
- Bobby field dressing the deer w/Barb standing by
- Bobby driving the bloody carcass from the scene to his garage
- Bobby & Gray Beard seen pushing the RAV4 to ASY
(19) Questions:
Was the blood & tissue the discarded entrails of the roadkill deer?
Why was Barb so interested in getting Bobby to tag the deer?
Was it a diversion, so Bobby could move something else away from the police?
"I asked BRYAN if he could remember anything strange that had stuck out in his mind during that time or after Halloween. He said the incident when BOBBY had hung the deer in his mom's garage...."
(21) Inv. Baldwin went on to report:
"BRYAN said he did not hear it directly from STEVEN, however, BOBBY had told him a couple of months ago when BOBBY and his friend, MICHAEL OSMUNSON, were hanging the deer, STEVEN made the comment that he needed help getting rid of a body."
(22) What Bobby kept leaving out of the story, was that MICHAEL OSMUNSON made a joke first:
"MICHAEL ... jokingly asked ... if STEVEN had her (the missing girl) in his closet. At this point, STEVEN asked ... if MICHAEL wanted to 'help bury the body'...."
(24) But I digress. My original point was that Bryan, Bobby's older brother, thought the deer in the garage incident was very strange and not a common affair for the family.
I take it that Barb didn't totally fancy venizen, and no one made any effort to save the meats.
(25) Apparently, Bobby was also selling Steven's "get rid of the body" statement out of context to Bryan, as he gradually grew bolder in his comments that framed Steven.
(26) This thread examined the strange roadkill deer incident, and went off on a few short tangents. While the relationships between the activities at the roadkill site are not yet clear, you can be sure a lot happened around there.
(3) Scott had said he lived about 2 miles away. His address was 12764 State Highway 147, Mishicot, WI, but I believe I have identified the location of his driveway on the google map below, and it comes up as 12744.
(2) At first, my primary suspect was a rogue MTSO officer, perhaps Lenk, but an excerpt from John Ferak's book, "The Wrecking Crew", gave me a different idea:
"Although Bobby does not smoke, Scott Tadych was a heavy cigarette smoker, Zellner observed."
Was it Tadych?
(3) Let's step back a little to Steven's affidavit section covering November 3rd.
Steven had reopened the deep cut on his finger while unhitching his sister's trailer. He dripped blood in his Pontiac on the gearshift and then went inside and dripped blood in his bathroom sink.
(1) After #MakingAMurderer Season 2 came out, @ZellnerLaw released a thread of new findings. The first finding involved our current Person Of Interest, Scott Tadych. The tweet put Tadych at the Janda/Dassey residence around noon on 10/31/05.
(2) @ZellnerLaw's entire thread can be found here:
(3) Shortly after the posting, Tick Tock Manitowoc legend, Nexious, posting an analysis of the thread and the following Question and Answer threads that @ZellnerLaw posted.
(1) #MakingAMurderer: More on Scott Tadych
Inv. Wendy Baldwin's files
During the Teresa Halbach murder investigation, CASO Inv. Wendy Baldwin (Schmitz) found leads that suggested Scott Tadych had more involvement in the murder than it first seemed.
Let's review her reports.
(2) This saga began when Inv. Baldwin interviewed Lisa Novachek at THE WISCONSIN ALUMINUM FOUNDRY where Scott Tadych worked 2nd shift. Keith Schaefer, Scott's Shift Super, had asked Lisa to set up an interview.
I'm starting a new working thread: Pulling together evidence and timelines for Bobby Dassey and his suspected accomplices, Gray Beard, Michael Osmunson and Scott Tadych.
(2) I'm going to start out by collecting evidence without trying to organize it. Then I will analyze it & give it structure.
I'll start w/this lead from Scott Tadych's brother Shaun, "Watch the movie again and watch how he [Scott] acts on the stand when he gets questioned...."
(3) Before we view the film, let's first go over the transcript of his testimony, that can be found here.
