The issue is that Lucy Johnston and Sarah Knaptons idea of protecteding education is to allow uncontrolled transmission and mass constant reinfection of students, for this end they platform disinformation and argue against vaccination

Lucy Johnson is actively working with coordinated disinformation groups,

Here she is suggesting we should expect vaccine deaths in children, she suggests vaccination would be purely political and no benefit to children

There have been none in the UK
Lucy will even retweet Simone Gold, founder of antivax Trump linked America's Frontline Doctors, she was also arrested for her involvement in the Capitol Hill Insurrection
Here she is promoting the APPG funded by opaquely funded Collateral Global which quotes members of Collateral Global and HART calling to halt child vaccination

Who she platformed on her skeptic podcast that Halfon has appeared on
Her she is promoting GBDs Gupta who said no one under 30 should be vaccinated on Lucy's podcast

Gupta has now rebranded herd immunity as mass constant reinfection, this is the ideology Lucy Johnson has embraced and is promoting

So should Halfon be appearing on this podcast which is just a disinformation channel, and regularly pushes antivax misrepresented stats and false narratives?
A friends unvaxxed brother died this week because he listened to the lies and disinformation put out online, platformed by mainstream RW media and given credibility by MPs

Lucy Johnsons been an antivaxxer for years, Express has gotten into trouble for her pushing Wakefield scares over MMR and then she did the same with HPV

Same people producing the disinformation Lucy Johnson is putting out are the same people behind the APPG, a fringe group has swamped the narrative due to the work of media and MPs

So I'll finish with another of John's threads
And one final thing

The Spectator with its history of defending far right groups and trying to rebrand eugenics is also just a GBD pro infection mouthpiece for vested interests
They have turned the pandemic into a culture war

No suprise Halfon is also being very vocal about opposing net zero and scrapping green taxes, the climate change denial/minimalising lobby overlaps massively with covid disinformation

🧵Nelson and the Spectator have been a constant source of covid minimalising disinformation and are basically a mouth piece for GBD

No suprise to see them over promoting this non-peer reviewed preprint, while ignoring the peer reviewed papers that found the opposite
2/ The papers authors have been open supporters of the GBD which recieved support from Koch funded AIER and some of this papers authors are linked to the Koch funded Cato Institute

3/ Luckily enough Sam has already gathered up multiple threads showing the very many flaws with these studies, I doubt it will ever pass peer review.

First of all its worth looking at the impact some studies and articles have had in recent months
2/ As always theres been a focus in gaslighting around schools and children

In the UK education is facing serious disruption due to a lack of measures so adults can pretend everythings back to normal while politicians still chase the herd immunity unicorn
3/ Those minimising the impact on schools and children are an important part of the disinformation ecosystem

Each country has a small group of over publicised academics fighting against all measures backed up by astroturf campaign groups
