Can anyone provide me with some examples here (see below).... Protest movements on both sides always attract a few hard boiled haters. Out of the thousands of people who went to Ottawa, there must be at least one real example, no?
Cmon folks. Send me your pics. Silence is violence. Etc
And just to be clear, stuff downloaded from Del Boca Vista Bubbies4Biden Facebook groups doesn't count, even if the person in question is an ottawa snowbird
OK look I *know* these examples are out there, because otherwise you wouldn't have blue tick academics and columnists telling us all that it's 1933 and the jackboot of convoyism is about to descend on our heads. I just want to see some of the pics. Not too much to ask
Just to be clear, we've all seen this one a gazillion times. It's a libertarian dumbass who thought Trudeau=Hitler was gr8 for lolz. Stupid and insulting, but the very opposite of embracing nazism, since he's (spuriously) defaming trudeau by assocaiton. No credit for this example
So nothing?
Wow you people suck
Zero commitment to social justice

You're starting to see this among teenagers. They're progressive, but they're not stupid, & they know when they're being lied to. They see their 30 yr old social justice teachers as relics, & they mock this crap whenever they can. This cult will end more quickly than ppl think
(And the ones who have the fewest fcks to give, by the way, usually aren't white.)
In fact I sometimes have to tell college students who DM me about politics that they need to cool it a little with the pushback, bcuz they're going to get in trouble for no good reason. (One snark thing that's become popular is kids get asked their pronouns & they say "nor/mal")
I guess my greatest worry here is that this apparent hoax will discredit the many journalists who tweeted it out credulously on Sunday night.... almost like they were inclined to believe this nonsense due to, gee I dunno, bias.
not only are these swastika loons incredibly scarce, but even the scattered swastikas pictured at protests all seem aimed at *impugning* Trudeau etc as Nazis. This is obviously a brain-dead protest tactic. But it's the opposite of pro-Nazi: Theyre using Nazi as a term of abuse...
It's actually common among euro protestors. who talk about "pass sanitaire" as "nazitaire." That's what that bumper sticker seems to indicate. Yes, dumb. But the guy isnt like "Hooray for Nazis" He's saying that vax passports are so bad that only *hated* Nazis would like them"...
and yet, over last 2 weeks, we've all been asked to pretend away these obvious facts in the service of social-justice mind-melt...even tho the signs are basically the visual equivalent of (equally stupid) tweets accusing trump of being nazi. they presuppose (rightly!) nazi=bad...
Zero surprise this guy is from Quebec. Almost all of my anti-woke sources within Libs/civil-service fall into 2 groups: quebecers & immigrants. They're the ones who'll save the Cdn left from Butts' snob circus (with some help from old school socialists) nationalpost.com/news/politics/…
One of the most beautiful political sights I've seen recently was the *Canadian* flags at a quebec anti mandate protest. (And I don't even agree with the protestors.) if you're one of trudeau's hatchet men and you see that, you're like "oh fck what have we done...."
The interesting place to be is inside @cafreeland's political brain. Existential choice. Faithful heir apparent ....or principled quasi dissident?
So the story here is that last night, there was a mass murder plot in an Ottawa apt building, with one of the would-be killers telling a passer-by (for no apparent reason) he was a protestor. But no one calls 911, & Ottawa arson's unit finds out about it on twitter a day later.
Also, am I missing the big stories that should have already appeared on the big media sites such as CBC Ottawa and Ottawa Citizen? Right now, I was expecting "Arson Plot Foiled" as the main story. Instead, it's a story about parking tickets being issues....
It's been four hours since this thread went up. I know it's sunday, but is there a reason the Ottawa Citizen site doesn't have a banner headline about the hundreds of lives that were saved from immolation by the bravery of anti-protest activists living in an apt building?
