not only are these swastika loons incredibly scarce, but even the scattered swastikas pictured at protests all seem aimed at *impugning* Trudeau etc as Nazis. This is obviously a brain-dead protest tactic. But it's the opposite of pro-Nazi: Theyre using Nazi as a term of abuse...

It's actually common among euro protestors. who talk about "pass sanitaire" as "nazitaire." That's what that bumper sticker seems to indicate. Yes, dumb. But the guy isnt like "Hooray for Nazis" He's saying that vax passports are so bad that only *hated* Nazis would like them"...

and yet, over last 2 weeks, we've all been asked to pretend away these obvious facts in the service of social-justice mind-melt...even tho the signs are basically the visual equivalent of (equally stupid) tweets accusing trump of being nazi. they presuppose (rightly!) nazi=bad...

this is why farber got busted importing his evidence of nazidom from florida: there's a nazi shortage on woke twitter. the only real naziness on offer has been the one moron with his "goyimtv" sign—and even *that* was destroyed by protestors. it's nazi social panic with no nazis

if some Indigenous/BLM dude came to a statue-destroying party in toronto with a big pic of Hitler & the words "Defeat White Supremacist Overlords," in a million years no one in the media would be like "Oooh that dude likes Hitler!" But that's how we're asked to treat the convoy

this is why I don't think the world is going to end bcuz some Palestinian-rights dude shows up at a rally with a swastika on his sign. with rare exceptions, he isn't rooting for, like, Hitler 2.0. he's comparing israel to hitler. again, dumb! but it's also implicitly *anti* Nazi

Back in 2018, when people were whipping themselves into another frenzy about the Nazis supposedly hiding under our beds, I wrote this for @Quillette about what the word Nazi means. It seems incredible that we'd need such a resource. But we obviously do.
