CNN doesn't live to view the tens of millions of conservatives and Republicans as serious human beings.
It doesn't matter what you think of the RNC censure or January 6. It doesn't one bit. They still hate the right.
Of course they're now touting the list of over 100 Republicans (read: Democrats) from that Renew America group that -- let's be honest -- is committed to electing liberal Democrats.
It's a feedback loop -- this Democratic Party outfit called Renew America Movement puts out a letter, those on the payrolls of CNN and MSNBC link up with producers and hosts, they get it on the air with multiple segments about it, and taaa da, we have a manufactured news cycle.
This is pretty basic PR 101 and you don't need the vision of a smoke and mirrors back room to see it.
And the PR campaign extended to the Briefing Room as ABC's Cecilia Vega asked Jen Psaki about the RNC censure (which, to be clear, was passed Friday afternoon and here we are on Tuesday afternoon)

JACQUI TIME on @PatrickHauf's reporting: "HHS...put out a statement clarifying...reports that crack pipes...would not be part of the safe smoking kits...But can you clarify...were they never a part of the kit? Or were they removed in response to this reporting[?]"
Psaki on @PatrickHauf's @FreeBeacon story about crack pipes: "They were never a part of the kit. It was inaccurate reporting and we wanted to put out information to make that clear."
Psaki: It "may contain alcohol swabs, lip balm, other materials to promote hygiene and reduce the transmission of diseases like HIV and hepatitis....What we're really talking about...is steps...to address the opioid epidemic"
Not gonna share the screenshot so I don't get suspended for copyright violations, but NBC's Mike Tirico gushing over the freestyle skiing venue in China as "visually stunning" when it used to be a steel mill in the middle of a dump is pretty pathetic. #Olympics#GenocideGames
Also, Eileen Gu doesn't deserve a scintilla of support in the U.S. Yes, her roots are in China, but she willingly chose to give up her citizenship to represent a genocidal regime in the #GenocideGames, which means she's backing concentration camps. Sorry, I don't make the rules.
Along with Mike Tirico, the freestyle skiing announcers are ready to canonize Gu and how great she is for China and the rest of the world.
What would be great is if she spoke out against the genocide and human rights violations going on in China. #GenocideGames#Olympics
Asked by @GayleKing "why would we ask those questions...when there are no apparent signs" someone's struggling, @DoctorSueVarma notes it's b/c "when we see people who look so put together, we wonder what it takes to hold it together. All of us see the iceberg effect...only...10%"
Joy Reid argued Friday that Republicans are the modern day Nazi Party, Chinese and Soviet Communist Parties, and the Pol Pot regime b/c they're engaging in "book burning and banning," adding "the great parent revolt is bankrolled" by conservatives "controlling the puppet strings"
Joy Reid argues the Republican Party is the side that's wholly responsible for "attacks on Asian-Americans and Jewish people" and whenever Americans don't have "safe roads and clean drinking water" thanks to "selling white grievance and rage" and "demoniz[ing] China"
Joy Reid on parents speaking up at school board meetings against books that include things like graphic sexual content: "[D]o they care that they’re...enraging [their electorate] in ways that become dangerous and drive people toward anti-social behavior, even violent behavior?"
.@ScottJenningsKY 🔥🔥: "My heart is full that an African-American woman is going to be on the Supreme Court b/c there's not been anybody in Washington over the last 36 years who's fought harder against putting African-Americans and Hispanics on the bench than Joe Biden."
.@ScottJenningsKY: "Look what [Joe Biden] did to Clarence Thomas. He used the Jim Crow filibuster, their words, not mine, against Janice Rogers Brown & Priscilla Owen & Miguel Estrada. Joe Biden has an atrocious record...After 36 years, he's finally found religion on this issue."
.@ScottJenningsKY: "[T]here's little doubt that the people [he's] looking at are all highly qualified, highly experienced, & highly liberal & some you might call radical...That's how Republicans are going to go after this...It's not going to be over race."
Once again, CNN's @OliverDarcy is lying. Fox's @HarrisFaulkner gave Trump a run for his money in one of his toughest but fairest interviews -- June 2020 after the death of George Floyd. Below are a few write-ups of the interview.
