Let's talk Tips and Tricks for using Twitter more efficiently. Many of us use the platform for more than merely a social media presence. I will keep this thread alive with the Twitter Tricks that I came across over the years. Contribute, if you can. 🙂
If you want to remove the RTs from the search, simply add "-RT" without quotes. For example, "Uttar Pradesh Elections -RT" will show the tweets containing the phrase "Uttar Pradesh Elections" but will not show if someone has RTed a tweet that contains the same phrase.
If you want to search Tweets from a person with a specific keyword/keyphrase use "from:idoftheperson keyword". For example, if you want to see tweets by me where I mentioned Modi ji, "from:lekhakanurag Modi" without quotes will do the trick. Adding -RT will remove the RTs I did.
And if you want to search only for specific time frame, add "until:enddate since:startdate" in the search code.
Example "from:lekhakanurag modi until:2022-01-17 since:2021-12-17 -RT"
If you want to search anything only from verified accounts, use "filter:verified" in the search code. For example, if you want to see what verified accounts have said about budget between Feb 1 and Feb 7 this year, use "budget filter:verified until:2022-02-07 since:2022-02-01"
If you want to search tweets with media, use:
filter:media - will show with both images and videos
filter:videos - will only show tweets with videos
filter:images - will only show tweets with images
You can combine search options too. For example if I want to see videos by a user with specific keywords between specific time frame I can use "from:lekhakanurag gauprem filter:videos since:2021-01-01 until:2022-02-01"
Throw in -RT and it will show tweets not RTs.
Now, this is going to be a very interesting one. If you want to search tweets in a specific language, there is an option.
For example, if you want to search tweets with Yogi only in Hindi, search "Yogi lang:hi". Please note you have to use Twitter language codes mentioned below.
If you want to search tweets from a specific handle to another handle, use "from:idoftheperson to:ifofthesecondperson" For example, if you want to see tweets from Yogi Ji to Modi Ji, use "from:myogiadityanath to:narendramodi"

Yesterday, I had to work late night. Something very emotional happened and it broke my heart for the stray cattle. At around 1:30 AM when I left the desk for some time to walk around I noticed an ox standing outside. He is not regular but was looking inside.
By the time I picked food for him and went out, he was gone, but I could see him from far. I called him. He turned and literally ran back. After feeding him some carrots and jaggary and when he was calmer than the moment he started eating, I came close and saw his face.
I could notice the tears. I am assuming those were tears of joy because he managed to get food at that hour of night. Last time when he came he got scared by just a loud noise. I had to calm him down and step back so that he could eat.
