I’m stunned that so many are falling for this type of opportunistic partisan & ideological analysis of the reaction of police.

But it does explain why so many are RAGING and not thinking this through.

Betrayal comes from within your trusted allies. It never comes from the enemy, because you’re already aware the enemy is trying to destroy you.

The complete absence of public knowledge about WW2 is astounding. Most people have a rudimentary infantile understanding that a world war happened, 6 million Jews were murdered and then the allies prevailed and won the war.

Which is why we’re in this current mess.

70 MILLION people died during World War 2. In a matter of a few years. 1939-1945. 5.5 years 70 million unnecessary deaths. Roughly 11.5 million per year.

The magnitude of 70 million deaths is difficult to comprehend.

But that’s not the whole big picture.

WW2 was started by a madman who never got over Germany’s role in WW1 and who couldn’t accept Germany’s self admitted defeat. Hitler was a veteran of WW1 who refused to accept Germany’s responsibility in starting and ending the Great War. He was not the only one who believed this.

Why did Germany lose WW1? Hitler blamed the Jews. He called it a great betrayal: the “stab in the back.”

His rage at losing was used to construct a Big Lie that many came to believe. That Jews were responsible for ALL Germany’s woes.

Sound familiar? LIBERALS are blamed now.

Hitler was a totalitarian autocrat. But he joined a radicalized Marxist socialist-communist group and took it over from within. He fostered hate for Jews in this group which became the National Socialists. Nazis.

Notice the Soros-like businessman singled out for his Jewishness.

Racism is not limited to the far right. Or white people. It’s a method of categorizing some humans as inferior. It can be performed by ANY group of people who believe they are superior.

For many pride in one’s heritage or social group means superiority.

So radicalized “progressive” left & the racialized supporters of this demagoguery who believe only white people with privilege can be racist are gaslighting themselves & the public.

Accusations of racism regarding EVERY white person is just a convenient method to dehumanize.

Same with misogyny and homophobia.

Most social mammals have evolved to fear the unknown. Our tendency is to categorize the unfamiliar as inferior and frightening. To be avoided at all costs. Stick with the expected and familiar and the “herd” will be safe.

Status quo.

Human beings are NOT as evolved and cosmopolitan as we tend to believe.

All those “progressives” and moderates who believe they rail against status quo are fooling themselves.

Most people’s behaviour and thoughts are predictable and easy to manipulate.

Unfortunately.

Human beings are creatures of habit. Just like most social mammals.

Every day you arise, you perform a routine. Brush your teeth, get ready and face the day. To demonstrate how habit dependent you are, change which foot you put your socks on first. Don’t brush your teeth.

Most people find this extremely disruptive. Because it breaks the routine, habit, normality, the status quo.

That’s what this occupation is meant to do. Upset the public’s status quo.

The disruption of status quo evokes strong emotions whether you support the convoy or not.

So you’re faced with coping with an enormous intrusion on your habits and status quo expectations.

Add in some toxic demagogic rhetoric & you have the makings of civil war level conflict.

Both radical LEFT and far RIGHT are stoking flames & inciting pushback.

It MUST STOP!

Populism is the manipulation of people’s status quo expectations (thoughts & beliefs) of government action or policy (elites) and the desire for accountability for not reaching those desired expectations (rebellion & rage), for political gain.

Populism is a form of charlatanism.

Demagogic populism is the extreme dehumanization of the perceived “elites.”

Demagogic rhetoric is used to castigate and disparage the “elites” creating hostility by inciting rage and leading to rebellion.

And that is what has happened in Canada. As well as across the globe.

This isn’t new. It’s been occurring for decades.

It is the source of identity politics, pseudoscience, the rise in ideological purity of Marxism and Paleolibertarianism.

Populism is “us” vs “them.”

It’s called othering or DEHUMANIZATION.

It’s being used by political extremists to divide society.

It has effectively divided the Canadian population into “us” and “them” political tribes. The opposition is considered the enemy. They can do no right, and we celebrate their failures, wish death upon them from Covid.

Take a look in the mirror.

You are in the process of being radicalized. Using provocation from several extremist pluralist factions who have abandoned democracy for anarchy and subsequent authoritarianism.

By both the far RIGHT and the radical LEFT.

Before you fly off in a rage using your thought terminating cliches to remove cognitive dissonance, take 5 minutes to examine your behaviour.

If you despise the police, the mob or the government, you’re undermining the very democracy you say you support.

If you’re protesting to demonstrate your support for violent force, you’re responding to populist demagoguery . You’re “voting” for legitimacy to end this violently.

If you’ve silently or overtly wished death on anti vaxxers & anti maskers, you’ve dehumanized “them.”

If you don’t give a flying f**k whether the children embedded in mobs demanding a coup die or get injured, you’ve “othered” those children. They’re children. Innocent because they don’t know any better and have no control whether their parents bring them.

Take a look in the mirror. Look into your own eyes and say it out loud. “The police should use violent force to arrest the people performing these occupations and I don’t care whether those children get hurt or die.”

Say it out loud and watch your own expression.

If you can say that to yourself out loud without gasping in shame at the dehumanization of children that you’ve adopted, you’ve been radicalized. You’ve abandoned democracy and are demanding police brutality on children to restore the status quo.

Let that sink in. All the way.

We are all barraged with demagoguery and toxic rhetoric.

Our thoughts and beliefs are being manipulated. Only you are in control of your beliefs and behaviour. You CAN step back and reclaim your own thoughts and control your behaviour.

What have you become?

These mobs haven’t started your radicalization.

The blame for all our problems on an “elite” that is victimizing “us” is the exact same rhetoric that led to WW2.

Not approximately.

EXACTLY THE SAME.

By socialists, good Germans, a nation fractured by populist demagoguery, led by severely ambitious violent sociopathic madmen who told people what they wanted to hear.

Germans were superior and Jews were to blame for everything.

Which is the same statement as: (pick your favourite tribe {progressive left, radical LANDBACK advocates, Green energy advocates, moderate centrists}) are superior and Liberals, Conservatives, police, democracy, institutions, whatever your poison is) are to blame.

You’re being radicalized, indoctrinated and you are being taught to hate “them” because “we” are superior.

YOU ARE NOT SUPERIOR!

YOU’RE JUST A GODDAMN FOOL FOR BELIEVING THAT GASLIGHTINGCRAP!

Get a grip! Stop helping GOP Republicans and Putin to destroy our democracy.

I’m in no mood to be annexed by the US if GOP wins the elections this year and in 2024. And I imagine no one but the hard core extremists of the mob want that either.
