This slate of nominees is historic for its diversity as well. The Fed Board has only ever had 3 Black members in its entire history—2 of Pres. Biden's nominees are Black and Dr. Lisa Cook could potentially be the first Black woman ever appointed to the Board. #BidenFedNoms

If confirmed, this set of nominees could be transformative. For the first time, the Fed would have a full board that could make meaningful progress on inflation, banking regulation, environmental policy, and other racial & economic justice priorities. #BidenFedNoms
