NEW AD: Ron Johnson—who grabbed a massive tax break for himself and his biggest donors—is now refusing to lift a finger to get good-paying union jobs in Wisconsin. Help spread this so more voters see it:
Johnson is refusing to “insert himself” in the fight to ensure that Oshkosh, his hometown, gets 1,000 well-paid union jobs building USPS postal trucks. “It’s not like we don’t have enough jobs in Wisconsin,” he says. How out of touch can Johnson be?! jsonline.com/story/news/pol…
Now, @WisDems is running this ad digitally to folks in Oshkosh to spread the word that Ron Johnson opposes good jobs in their community. We would call it *his* community, but he seems more interested in jobs going to South Carolina. upnorthnewswi.com/2022/02/14/joh…
For more on this fight, don’t miss this video by @MorePerfectUS, which interviews workers from the union that Johnson is betraying. Ron Johnson, the anti-jobs, pro-tax-cuts-for-himself senator, is turning his back on working families.
When you think about Ron Johnson refusing to help secure jobs for his own state, remember that he went to the mat on something else: enriching himself and his biggest donors with a special tax break. propublica.org/article/secret…
WISCONSINITES: Election Day is Tuesday! It’s the primary for our local spring elections—which matter more this year than ever. I was on @Maddow last night talking about it! Watch the clip… and then read and share this thread:
Wisconsin’s election on Tuesday, February 15 is the primary for April 5 general elections for judges, mayors, city councilmembers, school boards, and more. All of these offices matter. And some of them affect how elections are administered—which has enormous implications.
Anti-democracy, Big Lie-believing Republicans are getting involved in these races. msnbc.com/rachel-maddow/…
Thread: Wisconsin Republicans now have two candidates for governor—and, attempting to out-radical each other, they’re ripping each other apart. It’s Republicans in disarray, and it’s revealing just how politically toxic they’d be if elected. Read on for more:
Kevin Nicholson announced he’s running for Wisconsin governor. #AntiChoiceKevin is bad for Wisconsin—supporting, as our new site explains, a total ban on abortion care with no exceptions. His run for governor has sent the Wisconsin GOP spiraling. antichoicekevin.com
Even before his entering the GOP primary, Nicholson made headlines statewide by slamming Kleefisch (@RebeccaForReal) as “dumb as a bag of hammers” after Kleefisch said Republicans should “hire mercenaries” to help with “ballot harvesting” to win in ‘22. jsonline.com/story/news/pol…
DEADLINE: Voting rights stalled in the Senate. Channel your rage into ramping up Plan B: Protecting voting rights and organizing in key states like Wisconsin—voter by voter. Read on for how to help, then become a monthly donor by the midnight FEC deadline: secure.actblue.com/donate/janeom2…
The GOP’s plot to suppress and subvert its way to power in 2022 and 2024 depends on gaining enough control of enough states to overturn a presidential election. If we hold the line in Governorships like WI, MI, and PA, the GOP plot fails. And the closest of these is Wisconsin.
In America’s must-win tipping point state, the furthest extremes of the right are becoming more emboldened. A first-year far-right state Rep was filmed calling for Republicans to “cheat.” Another GOPer introduced a bill calling for election nullification.
THREAD: Self-serving Ron Johnson announced his reelection campaign 16 days ago. It has NOT gone well. Wisconsin voters are seeing @WisDems billboards, @dscc TV ads, & digital & traditional media exposés of his corruption. Chip in to keep it going & read on!secure.actblue.com/donate/billboa…
@WisDems@dscc Johnson promised in 2010 AND 2016 that he’d only serve two terms. But for Johnson, promises are like cobwebs: annoying trash to be wiped away. Why the change of heart? Maybe because his net worth has more than doubled while in office. 🧐 congressionalintegrity.org/memo-how-ron-j…
When Ron Johnson announced, he blew hundreds of thousands of dollars on TV ads trying to explain away his breaking of his two-term promise. Meanwhile, the @dscc put ads on TV explaining who he really serves: himself.
To protect voting rights now, organize in the states.
The battle for the ballot—shifting tides, historic breakthroughs and heartbreaking setbacks—has never been a "one vote in the Senate" situation. You, the non-senator reading this right now, have a critical role. We need all hands on deck.
This vote failed.
Time for Plan B.

BREAKING: RON JOHNSON JUST ANNOUNCED HE’S RUNNING FOR RE-ELECTION. He’s the worst senator up in ‘22—AND the most vulnerable. We can defeat him. Chip in any amount and let’s end Ron Johson’s political career for good. secure.actblue.com/donate/ronjohn…
Ron Johnson is, infamously, @TheWorstSenator. (If you question that distinction, click through to that account.) He burst into a new level of national prominence & loathing after 1/6, when he fed the insurrection—then denied it was an insurrection at all.
And we can’t forget how Johnson scammed every American by giving massive tax breaks to his biggest donors and himself—while, by the way, paying virtually nothing in state income taxes in 2017, and opposing tax breaks for the middle class. apnews.com/article/busine…
