I’m in the gallery for QP

Candice Bergen starts off by calling the use of the Emergencies Act “an Unprecedented sledgehammer”

Trudeau reiterates what he said yesterday about about time limited measures #cdnpoli
Bergen asks Trudeau when he will lift “Divisive, outdated and unscientific mandates”

Trudeau said the CPC can’t stop playing crass political games at a time of a crisis #cdnpoli #ottnews
The CPC line today seems to be the blockade in Coutts ended without the Emergencies Act, so we do we need to bring it in?

Should note, the RCMP did find a bunch of guns there, which seemed to scare a bunch of the protestors off #cdnpoli #ottnews

Friends, it’s time to check-in on Ottawa’s nightlife.

No party tonight at Ottawa’s Hottest Club, Wellington St

I spoke with the guy who owns the flatbed/stage earlier today and be said he ain’t leaving no matter what happens. Guess the party will continue at a future date…
Down at Ottawa’s second hottest club, Rideau and Sussex, its surprisingly busy.

Decent crowd for a Monday night, and there is enough fuel to keep the party going for days.

As is par for the course, zero cops anywhere.

#cdnpoli #ottnews
There was one place in Ottawa where “enforcement” was taking place tonight.

A block away from Ottawa’s Second Hottest Club, Rideau and Sussex, bus cops were hassling a homeless women who was outside the Rideau LRT station.

You can hear the cop free dance party a block away

.@chrisrands and I just stopped MPs at West Block about the Emergencies Act.

Liberal MP Judy Sgro says “it’s a sad day for Canada” adding, “do you see what’s going on outside?” #cdnpolo
CPC MP Richard Bragdon says the Emergencies Act is a “Very big step … I wanna hear what (Trudeau) is bringing forward” #cdnpoli
Instead of answering our question about the Emergencies Act, CPC MP Dr Stephen Ellis attacked Trudeau

“There has been a failure of leadership here by the PM from the very beginning, which leads us down this very, very dangerous road”

At Bank and Riveraide, counter protestors have held up a number of cars attempting to join up with the convoy folks.

Here video at the numbers of cars held up, sent to me by a counter protestor #cdnpoli #ottnews
Here’s a look at the crowd that has gathered at Bank and Riverside.

Considerably more counter protestors compared to trucks trying to get through #cdnpoli #ottnews
Police have been trying to negotiate with the counter protestors to get them to move, with no success.

When the crowd said they’re not leaving, One cop just came up to them asked “so how does this end then?”

That did not go over well with the crowd #cdnpoli #ottnews

Friends, it’s time to check-in on Ottawa’s nightlife.

It’s the biggest crowd yet at Ottawa’s Hottest Club, Wellington St.

They were spinning tunes when I first arrived but what I can only describe as a J-Roc impersonator was hyping the crowd after #cdnpoli #ottnews
If you’ve been following this series, you already know that Ottawa’s Hottest Club, Wellington St, has everything.

It has either Starsky or Hutch, more porta potties than needed and an Infowars fan #cdnpoli #ottnews
Wellington St became Ottawa’s Hottest Club because of extensive renos but they’ve added yet another feature to the VIP Deck.

An LED sign is now up to ask some friends like Jordan Peterson, Joe Rogan, Don Cheery and Tucker Carlson to come hang out
