🧵After watching the walkaround today and knowing what we know about the #Trailerban. I'm definitely seeing the difficulty required to strike and get a swift win before they reinforce/react/entrench.
If you are of the mindeset that they are not armed and that they will cave. Then a long, block by block would be a valid and effective tactic.
If you think they will dig in - or worse, go extreme with scorched earth tactics, then you are looking at literal fire full of fuel.
My view is from all the intel and all the reactions to police and public - is that they have a lot of pawns, but very few willing to lose everything - including perhaps their lives for "the cause" - not enough to mount a defense.
So it looks like the only tactic they have left is to drum up support to the base to entrench and dig in - aka "hold the line" which we have seen constant over #OttawaOccupation with the defensive posturing/walling and now visual concealment of operations.
When pushed against the wall, the "defensives" might fight to the death and I think that is a risk they are trying to mitigate. That with the aforementioned make for a long siege that would have to ramp up considerably with force to remove.
With all that said, I think there is a place here where we can play a part.
When this party kicks off, their will be a lot of police needed to preform reserve actions - just as blocking reinforcements, foot traffic and scouting for amassed counter attacks.
I think there is an opportunity for the public here to provide a blocking and barricade service but it would require coordination and some decent manpower.
It would also need to be coordinated with the police.
But it is a though.
