(T/N: ahh…seems like kunra is weekdays only now? 😮)
~Today’s TMI~
OP finished their mandarin oral exams and received high praise from their teacher for performing/studying well. OP called Kun “Kun 大哥” and Kun was like “Kun ge wants to remind u that you can leave out the 大 (redundant) 😂 u can call me 挪挪 nuonuo or Kun is fine+
+ too”
🐻: hope you’ll learn more things that you’d like to through our akseo program! Be sure to leave us more messages~
~Free Talk Monday~
Haha new intro music~ The guest is still Guozhen! GZ thought he’d have a new name “Zhou Yi” (Monday in mandarin) haha basically you can send in any stories/messages u want to talk about as long as it fits into the topic! Today’s topic is “Spring memories”
🐻: is there anything that’s memorable to u in spring?
🤓: It always reminds me of a new beginning! I’ll feel like I’m back to my days as a student
🐻: Still studying? At your age?? Hahaha jk 😆
🤓: At MY age???Fdldkflsdaskdlj 😭😂
First OP said they want to ride a bike while listening to songs enjoying the scenery and wind
🐻: really, feeling the wind while biking in spring is so refreshing. When I biked near the Han river, the sunlight on your face with the warm breeze felt amazing~
🤓: before the p*ndemic you could also enjoy the scent of spring without masks on
🐻: some places might not have all four seasons, but it’s ok because each season has it’s own charm!
Now they’re talking about biking and how the feeling and effect is different from other modes of transportation like driving.
🐻: if you’re continuously being faced with wind (while biking), you don’t sweat as much as say running - maybe your back will be soaked with sweat, but+
+ maybe not your face, chest, etc.
🤓: you’re the type who doesn’t swea-
🐻: no I actually sweat really easily haha every time I bike (fast pace) I’ll sweat. But in middle/high school i used to bike to school and then I liked biking slowly.
🤓: wow it’s been a while since I’ve talked about biking haha this is the special point of “Free talk”
🐻: right we’ll go wherever the conversation takes us!
Next OP said in the spring they like to dress up, go sightseeing, and take pretty photos. OP also requested kun post pretty photos this spring when he takes them
🐻: okayy no problem~ 😊
Next OP said they want to take a cherry blossom photo w/ their schoolmates before they graduate…they’re also waiting for Kun’s cherry blossom pics LOL
Now they’re talking about a road/path near a university with 2 sides lined w/ cherry blossom trees. Now they’re talking about+
+ different flowers and Kun said he likes the smell of osmanthus flowers and reminds him of his days in Beijing. When I was little, there was a school across the street from my house and there was a 100 year old osmanthus flower tree there. I lived quite high up in the building+
+but no matter the height you could still smell the scent of the flowers~ So I really like the smell of those flowers - I guess it counts as a nostalgic/childhood memory! 😊
🤓: I see PD jiejie regretting making this program “Free Talk Monday” LOL letting us talk about whatever we want
🐻: so much that we cant stop hahah today is also a pre-recording, so LaiLai is outside looking enviously on right now 😂
🐻: he’s like “why do I have to write so much for the Friday programs? Like full on essays while guozhen can just talk about whatever 😭” 😂
LMFAOO lailai outside like:
Next OP said they don’t like spring as much bc once they went on a picnic w/ their parents and although there’s yummy food, a bug flew into their mouth while they were eating and they accidentally ate it too 😭 so from then on they started disliking bugs and spring
🐻: ah…well spring is when all the creatures wake up including the bugs haha there’s rly no bugs in winter…that’s the only pro of winter 😂 the mosquitos are manageable too, but when summer comes…
TW // bugs?? I guess I should’ve put this early sry lol
Guozhen said sometimes he wants to sniff the nice smelling flowers, but then his nose starts itching and when he blows his nose he’ll see black dots in the tissue and realize that bugs went in 😭
🐻: I really like running, but in summer when I’m near the Han river, there’s a swarm of mosquitos that will run alongside with you over ur head…have you experienced this before?
🤓: no haha well…first of all I haven’t experienced running
(T/N: LMAOOO guozhen what a mood)
🐻: LMAOOO I can’t continue this topic 😂
🤓: how can mosquitos keep up with your pace?
🐻: but yeah sometimes I’ll accidentally inhale them 😭 esp back then when we didn’t have to wear masks, when I take a deep breath I’ll inhale them 🥲
🐻: ok let’s not talk about bugs anymore…let’s move on to…picnics?
🤓: LOL ok have u had picnics during the spring?
🐻: not in korea near the Han river, but back in china I’d go with my friends to BBQ on the spot it was amazing
Next OP said spring reminds them of cherry blossoms bc there’s a cherry blossom path near their high school and it’s famous for their cherry blossoms that blanket the path to the point where you can’t see the ground anymore. Now OP is studying in South Korea and can see cherry+
+ blossoms more often, but don’t regret sacrificing their free time during high school to study instead of going to see them and instead are cherishing the moment and whatever makes them happy now and hope everyone will remember to cherish the things they like
GZ and Kun are talking about cherry blossoms at night
🐻: ahh yes once I was walking in a park at night and experienced a scene like this (cherry blossoms falling like snow)
🤓: right~ so flowers aren’t always necessarily brightening up our moods, but can also calm us down
They talked about how this is a must experience activity in spring and Kun said the only drawback is that it might get annoying for the gardeners/groundskeepers to clean it up haha. Kun also mentioned various popular places around seoul to see cherry blossoms!
Now playing “Spring Is Gone by chance” by Loco and YUJU
TW // grandparent death
Next OP said in spring they want to plant flowers. There’s a tall 20 y/o tree in front of their house and their grandma used to grow vegetables around it, but it hasn’t been used for a while now (T/N: implying she passed away), so OP wants to plant flowers
+ around it where her grandma used to garden/plant veggies since she talked about it w/ her before too.
🐻: wah~ I’m sure your grandma will see them from afar
🤓: as long as you put your heart into it, I’m sure they’ll blossom well!
🐻: ah that’s right. just like my dad - he grows a lot of orchids. Those don’t blossom easily so you have to take extra care of them. He has like 10-20 pots of orchids and every time they blossom the scent is so nice~ He takes photos and sends them to me!
🤓: as you get older, up there in age, you start enjoying greenery/plants more…I’m sure Kun will get to experience it soon LOL (T/N: LMFAO yes guozhen u get him back for earlier 😂😂)
🐻: LOL actually I already have a plant on my computer desk. I specifically bought the plants+
+where you only have to water once a month for convenience sake…but recently I saw it starting to wilt and I thought it might’ve d*ed but then I watered it and it came back to life
🐻: guozhen do u like houses w/ yards?
🤓: when I was little we lived in a place with a garden at+
+the ground floor and my grandma used to grow sunflowers there and we could even harvest the seeds
🐻: ahh I love sunflowers! They’re so pretty~ 🌻
🤓: I was little, so I thought they were always so tall
🐻: ahh my neighbors also had a jujube tree!
🐻: planting a fruit tree is really nice too!
🐻: our free talk episode is coming to an end today! How did you feel about the first episode?
🤓: we really did free talk LOL there’s so much to say
🐻: let’s announce next week’s topic!
Next week’s topic: My favorite breakfast 🥞
🐻: let’s continue talking about food next week 😆
🐻: Thank you for tuning in today, everyone! Lastly, we’ll play a song KunD really likes, which is Wendy’s “Like Water”. See you tomorrow~ bye bye!

🐻: Life is full of choices you make for yourself. As long as you take responsibility for your choices, what others say aren’t that important! Do so thinking of your future and build your “empire” of success!
(T/N: again, this is general advice from the script)
~opening~
🐻: To complete a long journey in certain period of time, how much distance is suitable to cover each day? If you sprint full speed ahead everyday, u might run out of energy halfway through. To make it to the end on time, you need to plan out your daily pace to get far!
Now playing “Hold Me Close” by Sam Feldt ft. Ella Henderson

🐻: life is like playing chess - u need to be composed to win the game. The more frantically u do things, the more chaotic ur mind is and the results will be too. Like they say, to be organized you need to eat your meal one bite at a time, do things one thing at a time

🐻: Everyday we need to give ourselves some time to recharge. Different people and interpersonal relationships affect us in different ways. Some interactions drain our energy while others help us feel recharged. Hope we can all become those who help recharge!
