Court is back in session. Rosemond continues to address Crown's statements on King's and Komix's mindsets, arguing there is no evidence for them.
Rosemond also says reasonable people can object to COVID measures, and that should be considered when the JP considers whether King's release would impact public perception of the justice system.
He says the target of the protest was politicians in Ottawa, and that it's "unfortunate" that the demonstration impacted people who live in the area.
Karimjee now responding to Rosemond's arguments for King's release. He disagrees with Rosemond's assertion the Crown is engaging in politics. "All that the Crown has said is that what happened in this particular case... is a criminal offence," he says.
"What happened in this case, the occupation of the city, regardless of how did that or for what motives it was done, was a criminal offence," he says.
Karimjee also says the point of raising videos of King's past statements was to argue Komix didn't know significant parts of King's past.
Seymour says he will take "some time" to consider the matter. "I'm going to do everything in my power" to have a decision ASAP. Lots to go through, he says. Matter adjourned until Friday, #6 court in person at 1pm.
