Interestingly, the local Republicans are counting on people wanting to vote YES on both amendments on the ballot - as we are already trying to renew the mill tax for schools and they have worded the ballot to sound like they're making voting easier. 4/12
The wording makes it seem like this is for our benefit. Would love a native speaker to read over the #Spanish language version, as I hear it sounds even more like they're bolstering #voterprotection measures. When was the last time the GOP cared about making voting fairer? 5/12 
Single Member Districts are common among many types of races. Moving to an #atlarge countywide system of voting would be similar to letting the entire state vote on our congressman. Republicans love SMDs for other parts of #Florida - but why not here? news.yahoo.com/republicans-lo… 6/12
