My @EdmontonOilers are playing the @Canes today. I'm predicting a 4-3 #Oilers win. I get a treat every time my team scores and today grade A Alberta beef pieces are on the line. A lot riding on this game. But I have faith in Connor McDavid. He called me cute.
The #Hurricanes score and it's now 1-0 over my #Oilers. Zero goaltreats for me so far. And our Captain has taken a stick to the face and has left the ice! Hopefully he'll be back!
It's still early in the game. #LetsGoOilers!
Dogdamnit! The #Canes score again. It's now 2-0 over my #Oilers.
We've had a ruff start but there's 2 full periods left.
Lots of time to catch up. But we need to stay out of the penalty kennel. #LetsGoOilers
GOAL!! My #EdmontonOilers score and I get my first goaltreat of the day! It's now 2-1 for the #Canes but we're back in the game! And McDavid had his teeth fixed and is back on ice! #LetsGoOilers
I'm still hungry!
I waited and waited but no more goaltreats came. The game ended at 2-1 for the @Canes over my @EdmontonOilers . Thanks for cheering with me though.
I think I'm gonna go open a patreon account so I can get me more treats.
🧵 Today a lady got close to me, said "are you a good doggy?", and reached out towards me. When I turned to see her I almost booped her hand and she told me "You're a #ServiceDog. You're supposed to ignore me."
WRONG.
She's supposed to ignore me. She didn't do that.

I'm not supposed to initiate interactions with humans. I didn't.
Today we also saw my friend, the butcher. He came right up to give my Mistress a treat for me. He spoke directly to her and I stayed in a down, even though he's my friend and I'd love to sniff him. He knows

to ignore a service dog and only interact if the handler says it's OK.
We are trained to ignore common distractions, like people passing by us, bikes, shopping carts, etc, but we have to listen and obey strangers. In fact, this is part of standard testing of service

Ohmydogness! I was working and now I'm late for tonight's game! My @EdmontonOilers are playing the @NHLFlyers and I'm predicting a 3-2 Oilers win. I get a cube of Alberta beef when my team scores and a bonus for the win so I'm pretty excited. #LetsGoOilers!
SCORE!!! The #Oilers score their second goal and it's now 2-0 over the #Flyers. Equally important, Kuno ( that's me) gets a second goal treat!!! There's just over a period left.
🧵 Admin note: Kuno & I want to thank everyone for their kind words. He took a little food from hand on his walk but just doesn't seem to have an appetite. I appreciate the suggestions of pumpkin & rice & chicken; if he was throwing up or had diarrhea I'd go to that 1st. 1/
Unfortunately he can't tell me what's wrong. He was happy enough to go for a walk but maybe a bit sluggish. I'm certain it's nothing too serious and he doesn't show any signs of distress so I'm not worried about bloat or anything high risk like that. But even if he seems

back to normal by morning, he's already got an appointment scheduled with his favorite vet just to be on the safe side. I'm not one to rush to the vet for everything and I'm pretty competent with handling first aid and mild illness, but I just want to be sure I'm not

🧵Note from the Admin:
As the handler for the dog, I need to advocate for myself and provide education. There's too many comments to respond to, but I should add some context.
We would never be offended if someone with an allergy requested to be moved because of it. 1/
However allergies were not the issue.
I also understand fear and if someone is visibly afraid or indicates that, I try to give them space and be unobtrusive. Fear is not something protected by the human rights act. Accommodations for a disability are. Fear was not the issue.
2/
This was about personal beliefs. It wasn't that they asked to be moved that was upsetting. It was how. It's easy to simply ask a server to provide a different table in a quieter section, closer to a washroom or to say you'd be more comfortable at the back of the restaurant.

Tonight I'm going to share a special #ChristmasStory with you. It's based on the story our mamas tell us so that we aren't afraid and bark at Santy Claws. My canine friend Moe & a human named Jodie inspired me to create this as a holiday gift for my Twitter friends.

Please follow along and be patient with me.
Our Story is called:
Moe Knows: A Christmas Tail.
Moe Knows loneliness.
He was an adorable puppy. Some kind of bully breed mix born just before Christmas. When he was just a little tyke he was bought by a man wanting something 2/
that would grow into a big guard dog. So Moe was taken from his mama & siblings and went to his new home. His first night there he spent alone in a garage with only a thin blanket between him and the floor. Moe cried all night.
