1] Been thinking a lot about the whispered CCC "coalition" with various parties from Matebeleland, especially the MaKhupe outfit
The proponents of this idea, argue that having multiple Opposition parties is the South, is splitting the anti-Zanupf vote, to the benefit of ZanuPF
2] I've consistently said, as uncomfortable as this topic is, it should be had.
It benefits noone to point fingers & raise political emotions.
In fact, ructions over this issue will draw the attention of ZanuPF, who will in turn manipulate the whole thing, to their benefit.
3] Whereas at face value, "coalition" are desirable, & have become a trend in modern politics, they need to be managed well.
Hope it's not lost to those in CCC who are pro coalition with MaKhupe for instance, that firstly, there's a serious risk for infiltration.
4] Second issue is that, there's an unintended consequence of insinuating that CCC doesn't have an ability to communicate a political message that resonates with individuals &/or targeted groups in the South.
If this is so, what does this say about the CCC Leadership collective?
5] Instead of resurrecting dead political careers & kicking dead donkeys back to life, why not focus on the "missing" political message that pushed the electorate away from the main Opposition?
Some "coalitions" simply put politicians at the center, and not the citizens.
6] Another issue is that you risk insulting certain peoples' intelligence, by patronising them.
Are you communicating that in the South, voters are glued to personalities, & will chase them wherever they go?
And how sustainable will such arrangements be?
7] Another issue is that, voting trends are NOT static.
How much do we learn from 2018, regarding what will happen in 2023?
In light of recent political developments, especially formation of CCC, shouldn't decisions be based on research in light of what has happened since?
8] Results from last year's afrobarometer survey indicated that those interviewed, would vote for ZanuPF & MDC-A party, with little mention of MDC-T.
Back then, MDC-A was led by Chamisa. Now both MDC-T & MDC-A are "led" by Mwonzora.
Do these developments impact those results?
9] There's equally another risk of turning a national party into a coalition of its regional structures.
What if those from Manicaland Province for instance, wake up and say, "we are better off with a coalition with Mwonzora".
Will this be embraced by those from elsewhere?
10] To summarise my thoughts:
i. Let decision be based on recent studies
Let's actually research on whats best for CCC.
I would force myself to embrace a difficult decision based on science.
Using 2018 results to measure MaKhupe's 2023 political weight, may be preposterous
11] Point (ii)
Lets focus on a message that attracts citizens in their individuality
The 'disruptive' CCC founding philosophy is "putting citizens at the center", not career politicians
CCC should be able to speak to the interests of citizens in Binga, Dangamvura, Mutoko, etc
12] Point (iii):
Let's not take people's emotions for granted, least you leave them disillusioned!
There was a time, when standing with Nero wasn't fashionable.
The weak willed jumped ship, some gave up.
It was an emotional rollercoaster for supporters.
Value their feelings
13] Point (iv):
Let's value communication
I'm a firm believer in having uncomfortable conversations
We cant always think alike
Let's embrace different thoughts & eventually arrive at a conclusion that's best for us all
Whatever happens, this topic shouldn't divide us!
enkosi!

True to its identity of being a judicial reconstruct, @OurMDCT through Mwonzora's legendary tactic of using proxies (something he employed against Tsvangirai himself), is now attempting to stop the March 202 by-elections, he caused
2] Great political minds, such as Dr Magaisa, countless times, warned Mwonzora against overplaying the court card, as 'politics is about the voter'!
Whereas admittedly, this isn't rocket science, it would seem like everyone else except Mwonzora, understood this warning.
3] Before looking into the merits of what the DM proxy is asking from the courts...here's some context.
Mwonzora has been a useful ploy, in ED's desperation to destroy @nelsonchamisa
In 2020, the courts upheld a dubious judgement which deligitimised Nero's succession of MRT
Was doing a followup on a colleague from Kwekwe, whom I shan't name for his own security, who was stubbed at the Yellow Sunday rally, addressed by @nelsonchamisa last Sunday
The story is chilling & leaves you fearful & frustrate beyond anyone's compression
2] His story goes....
He was eventually alerted by commotion behind him, & turned back to saw machete welding men running towards him, randomly hitting CCC supporter.
One of them began chasing him & eventually caught up, & proceeded to tackle him to the ground, where he fell.
3] Once he fell, the man started stabbing him countless times, with a long spear he was holding
His only saving grace was that he fortunately fell on his stomach. Consequently, he was stubbed on his backside
Had he fallen on his back, he would've been stubbed on his stomach
"We gathered here today, less than 400 days before the 2023 general elections, 35 or so days before the by-elections. They thought they had dealt us a heavy blow. I warned them, Save left me with a vision of where we are going"
"They claimed our kraal, & we said stay behind with it, together with your herder, Dhakaboy. You can capture the leaders but can never capture the people. You can even entice some people, but the citizens of Zimbabwe will not tire, until change is realised."
"We gather here in Highfield where it all began with nationalists. I'm saying to Mugabe, Nkomo, Dabengwa, Tsvangirai, I'm now carrying your work forward and will complete what you had begun. Thank you citizens for keeping the liberation agenda aglow."
"After a nervy period of unsureness & deliberation, the political midwives eventually attended to the arrival of the CCC on the 24th of Jan 2022. That date earned a place in the history of party politics in Zimbabwe when MDC-A underwent a metamorphosis into CCC"
2] Dr Magaisa:
"Those who live through moments of history do not usually grasp their significance. It's those who look back and therefore have the advantage of hindsight, who can appreciate the weight of such moments."
3] Dr Magaisa
"It was like that hard moment of a farmer realising that although he loves his animal so much, the best option because it is broken beyond healing, is to put it to sleep. That way he spares it the excruciating pain and himself, the agony of watching it suffer."
