The @January6thCmte released John Eastman’s deposition, you guys! Spoiler alert he plead the 5th to almost every question. He did answer whether or not he had ever clerked for Ted Cruz though (Y). But then when asked if he ever spoke to Cruz about the coup (paraphrasing), 5th.
Not only did they release Eastman’s 5th fiesta, they release portions of other depositions as well. My favorite part (and there are a lot to choose from) has to be from DOJ atty Richard Donohue. He is giving off some significant Dignum vibes.
Donohue made those comments in reference to Jeffrey Clark who you’ll remember was the guy trump wanted to install as Attorney General. He wrote the draft letter to Georgia that Acting AG Jeffrey Rosen refused to sign.
The @January6thCmte has a big job ahead of them and that is to tell this story in a way that we all can understand. They have to keep our attention. There is enough here for months of public hearings. They don’t have that kind of time. Register to vote and vote.
