George Stephanopoulos: "The world is seeing civilians being killed in Ukraine by Russian bombs....The world is uniting to contend those attacks & those lies. How can you defend them?"
Russian FM Lavrov: "I cannot comment -- conjectures & there is a great deal of these now."
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov whines about the west shutting down Russian media outlets, such as RT: They're "trying to close down all of the outlets...broadcast from Russia on how...the Ukrainian army & neo-Nazis behave. They behave like...marauders"
Russia's Sergey Lavrov on ABC's @GMA: "I don't have enough time...to enumerate...the facts. Please visit our website...You will be able get a detailed description of what the Kyiv neo-Nazi regime is now doing. You like the word killer...Killers are siding with the Kyiv regime."
ABC's George Stephanopoulos to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov: "Do you believe that President Zelenskyy, the first Jewish president of Ukraine, whose famil[y] [was] killed in the Holocaust, is a Nazi?"
Russian FM Sergey Lavrov says Zelenskyy is a Nazi: "I think that the Nazis & neo-Nazis manipulate. Otherwise, it is hard to account for how [he] can preside over a society where neo-Nazis make strife... How can not a neo-Nazi president support laws banning the Russian language?"
Russian FM Lavrov to ABC's George Stephanopoulos defending why he (falsely) calls Zelenskyy a Nazi: "I can numerate facts for...a long [time]....[Y]ou don't have time to read the facts & spend half an hour visiting our website...Please learn more facts. Don't try to pretend[.]"
ABC's George Stephanopoulos on his interview with Russia's Sergey Lavrov: "You get the sense there why the...Treasury Dept. calls him Putin's propagandist. I mean, calling Zelenskyy...a neo-Nazi, denying what the whole world is seeing w/their eyes on the killing of civilians."
ABC's George Stephanopoulos on why Russia's Sergey Lavrov said he "like[s] the word killer," noting "[h]e was pretty clearly responding to this interview I had with President Biden last year" in which he asked him whether he thinks Putin's "a killer." (8/8)

RT is different than the other media fights. Why? Because it's government-funded and based on (a) spreading Putin's propaganda and (B) driving Americans apart by poking at and expanding wounds by portraying the U.S. as in disarray w/a corrupt system while ignoring Russia's record
And, while on the subject of government-funded media outlets....#DefundNPR
JACQUI TIME: "You just said...it's not in our strategic interest to reduce the supply, we also know [Biden]...talked about increasing domestic manufacturing to bring down prices on inflated items...Why not apply the same logic to energy and increase domestic production here?"
.@JacquiHeinrich: "Is there nothing that the administration could do to get those providers back to pre-pandemic levels?"
Psaki: "You think the oil companies don't have enough money to drill on the places that have been preapproved?"
Heinrich: "Just asking."
.@JacquiHeinrich: "Do you think that opening the Keystone pipeline and having more energy-friendly policies might do that?"
Psaki: "The Keystone pipeline has never been operational. It would take years for that to ever have any impact."
JACQUI TIME: "There are reports of illegal cluster bombs & vacuum bombs being used by the Russians. If that's true, what is the next step of this administration & is there a red line for how much violence will be tolerated...that's illegal &...a war crime?"
.@JacquiHeinrich: "The new aid that you just laid out...The Post reported over the weekend that this aid will not include stingers, that it would likely come in a future batch of aid. What is the reason for that?"
Psaki: "I'm not going to get into specifics."
.@JacquiHeinrich: "You mentioned that this next batch [of aid] is going to be coming in the next few days. Why so long? I mean, days doesn't sound like a long time to us, but..."
Psaki: "The package that we already announced continues to be delivered."
Truly remarkable footage on CNN earlier this morning -- @mchancecnn was on the frontlines in Kyiv with debris everywhere, burned out trucks and armored vehicles completely destroyed -- and still smoking -- with at least one Russian body nearby.
God bless the Ukrainian military.
.@mchancecnn on @NewDay: "There were some terrible things we can't really show you on camera in terms of dead bodies, Russians still lying here on the ground...Ukrainian soldiers who I've been speaking to...are absolutely enthused by this victory."
.@JohnBerman to @mchancecnn in Kyiv: "These are remarkable pictures. Be careful. I am going to try to keep talking to you. We have a sketchy connection here. But these are really remarkable images and reporting....to still see the smoke rising from the wreckage..."
As news breaks that Putin has decided he will annex two eastern Ukrainian provinces, here's what Putin's English-language bootlickers and toadies are up to over on RT...
Putin stooge on RT: "Hundreds of thousands of ethnic Russians reside in...Donbass. They are trying to break away...They say the Ukrainian government has been discriminatory...oppressive...They're underserved...poor and...not even allowed to speak their own language in schools[.]"
And here's the announcement from Putin puppet Manila Chan on Kremlin's English-language channel RT that Putin will "officially recognize the Donbass region as independent states...He has yet to sign that declaration."
She then moved to a segment about...Jeffrey Epstein.
JACQUI TIME on @PatrickHauf's reporting: "HHS...put out a statement clarifying...reports that crack pipes...would not be part of the safe smoking kits...But can you clarify...were they never a part of the kit? Or were they removed in response to this reporting[?]"
Psaki on @PatrickHauf's @FreeBeacon story about crack pipes: "They were never a part of the kit. It was inaccurate reporting and we wanted to put out information to make that clear."
Psaki: It "may contain alcohol swabs, lip balm, other materials to promote hygiene and reduce the transmission of diseases like HIV and hepatitis....What we're really talking about...is steps...to address the opioid epidemic"
