Here is a small sample of videos people from around the Bay Area send me.

1. This is a car break-in from around 8:30 last night at the 99 Ranch in Cupertino. A man captured this break-in on his Tesla’s camera. He had nothing in the car trunk. (1/4) #BayArea

2. A woman in Pacific Heights was fed up w/all of the crime/thefts at her home/neighborhood so she installed a Ring camera.

This is who she found Sunday, taking items from her property. You can get the woman say “Give all of that stuff back. Go.” (2/4) #SanFrancisco

The woman was also seen doing this on Elizabeth’s property. (It was a video but obviously too graphic to share…so I made it into a still and put a censor on it. You get the idea.)

Elizabeth also says a bag was stolen from her porch several days earlier. #SanFrancisco (3/4)

Karla was celebrating a friend’s daughter’s b-day Sat & was targeted in an unprovoked assault.

Karla’s friends say a man approached their picnic, mumbled words, grabbed cupcakes then flung their entire spread everywhere.

The man hurled a can into Karla’s face. Her nose was broken. “I could feel the blood going down my throat”.

Police tell me 46-y/o Stephen Miller was arrested. This is the mess he left.

Karla says “I’d like to see SF be the amazing place I know it can be. It was when I was growing up…how about we don’t let someone back on the street who is extremely dangerous?” #SanFrancisco

This is fake jewelry thieves are handing to seniors across the Bay Area, SoCal & Sacramento area to distract them as they’re getting robbed of their real jewelry.

This fake stuff was given to a 59-year old disabled woman in San Jose before the suspect took her gold chain. (1/4)

Many of the victims (10 known ones in San Ramon) according to @SanRamonPolice are SE Asian. Many victims don’t report to PD.

One victim according to @SantaClaraPD was a 90-year old non-Asian woman who was taken for $40,000 in jewelry!

(This vid is an 82-y/o Chinese Vic in SJ.)

San Ramon police say the perps appear to be made of people f/Eastern Europe.

They call this a slight-of-hand crime b/c the suspect hugs or approaches the victim & it takes only a few secs to undo a necklace.

Many victims like this one in SR don’t realize it’s happening. (4/5)

Speaking of mass robberies in the Bay Area…a family-owned jewelry shop in Oakland’s Chinatown was targeted around 1:40AM.

The owner tells me about a dozen people were seen on surveillance trying to break in.

You can see a crowbar & what appears to be a carjack (1/4) #BayArea

The people are unable to break through the metal gate installed earlier this year. (They were robbed in Feb.)

I shortened the 4m vid but here’s the end where you can see everyone run into waiting cars nearby.

"We just feel so numb & disgusted.” says the owner. (2/4) #oakland

A good neighbor called 9-1-1 to alert OPD.

BTW: this shop was the one I reported on a few months ago. A family member witnessed women get robbed & dragged on the ground outside.

This is 84-year old Marc. He was at an ATM in Laurel Village yesterday when a man approached & said “give me your money, give me your money!”

As Marc reached for his bag to give him cash the man hit Marc 2x’s in the face w/a glass bottle.(1/3) #StopAAPIHate

Marc suffered bruises as you can see— along with sinus fractures. His daughter told me his head and shoulder scan showed no major damage.

Amazingly his spirits were high. He even gave me this bible & credited his big family with longevity and health. (2/3) #StopAsianHate

Marc’s daughter Ana is a nurse. She is grateful for the Good Samaritans who came to the rescue to assist her dad.

“It’s really upsetting…evil people lurking around. It makes us so sad, our family…that these people are preying on the innocent and the frail.”
