1. (THREAD) On February 11th of 2021 the announcement of delaying march break in Ontario was made, the reason for this was to combat the unpredictable & ever changing Covid-19 situation in Ontario. That very day Ontario reported 945 new cases with a positivity rate of 2.3%.
2. Fast forward to 2022, Ontario despite limited testing is reporting 1,787 new cases of Covid-19 with a positivity rate of 10.2% and now is when the government is considering DROPPING the provincial mask mandates by the end of march break.
3. We aren’t done with Covid-19 nor are Ontarian’s done with suffering the devastating effects of this virus, the government of Ontario is done with trying to look after its people & get us to a safe place before reopening. #onpoli #onhealth
