Mistake 1. We try to run before we can walk
Without strong foundations in place, an #organisation will struggle to tackle the complexity of change
π Focus your #strategy on a few critical priorities
π Ensure there is a clear link between your strategy and the outcomes teams are #delivering
π Learn from innovation across different industries
Mistake 2. We forget that real #change needs the whole team
To ensure success
π Identify and leverage your key influencers to engage people in #change
π Create time for learning
π Never tolerate bad #behaviours
Instead,
π Use the #customer insights and analytics to drive your change agenda
π Feature the #customer on the agenda of every strategy meeting
π Ensure everyone in the organisation
Mistake 4. We think one size fits all
πDont assume a standard governance framework is the best way to support #delivery
π Create an environment that encourages emergent #change
To ensure success:
π Limit your work in progress - stop 'starting', instead - start finishing
π Face into and address pet projects
πFocus on #delivering the most valuable #change
Mistake 6. We work in #silos
π Create outcome-oriented teams and incentivise them at a team level
π Create opportunities for #leaders across functions to work together
π Seek feedback and, where appropriate, act on it
Mistake 7. We focus on #delivering value at the end
Instead, we should
π Deliver value regularly - at least every 90-days
π Build the financial benefits of continuous improvement into the business plan
π Measure trends rather than targets
