#bkdk break up drabble

Katsuki and Izuku are in their second year of UA, Katsuki in the Hero Course and Izuku in the Support Course. They have been dating since 2nd year of middle school. However, Katsuki had asked Izuku to keep their relationship a secret when they started-

-at UA. Izuku agreed, saying that as long as they loved each other, he didn't mind. But when 2nd yeat started, Katsuki started to seemingly grow distant. Whenever he texted Katsuki to meet up, Katsuki always said he promised to hang out with his friends. At lunch, Izuku would-

-always see Katsuki laughing and having a good time with his friends while Izuku always sat alone. One day, Nezu decides to select one Support Course student to go to I-Island for the rest of the school year to get a first hand look at the more advanced tech that they develop-

-on the island. He selects Izuku. Izuku says he wants to think about and promises to deliver and answer soon. He wants to talk to Katsuki about it and when they finally meet each other secretly in Izuku's dorm room, Katsuki says he wants to break up. Katsuki says he-

-feels like he needs someone who can keep up with him and Izuku, being in the Support Course, can't keep up with a Hero Course student. Katsuki leaves through Izuku's window, leaving him heartbroken. Over the next few days, Izuku has decided to accept Nezu's offer.

He had no friends anyways and Katsuki was the one person he thought cared for him, but clearly he didn't so there was nothing keeping him there. The day comes for Izuku to leave and Inko, Mituski, Masaru, Nezu, and Power Loader see him off. He promises to be back before 3rd year.

He also asks Mitsuki and Masaru to not tell Katsuki. Not that he's worried, but he knows that Katsuki won't care about him anymore. As much as it pains them, they agree.

Meanwhile at UA, it had been a few days since Katsuki had broken up with Izuku, and yet the greenette was-

-all he could think about. He texts Izuku to asks if they could talk, only to be met with a message telling him that he is blocked. He's confused and decides to march into the Support Course class. He asks Power Loader where Izuku is and Power Loader simply says he can't say.

After school, he goes to Izuku's dorm room only to find it empty. He begins to worry, forcing his way into Nezu's office, demanding to know where Izuku is and he won't leave until he knows. Nezu sighs, saying that Izuku accepted an offer to finish 2nd year at I-Island.

Katsuki leaves, angry at himself. Deep down, he doesn't know why he broke up with Izuku. He knew that Izuku was probably the only one who could keep up with him, despite not being a Hero Course student so why did he say he couldn't?

It was now time for Izuku to return home. He arrived back at the UA dorms and was unloading his stuff when he heard a knock the door. He opened it to see Katsuki, standing their. Izuku wants to slam the door in his face, but sees that Katsuki's face is full of nothing but regret.

Katsuki asks to come in and Izuku hesitantly lets him. Katsuki says that he is sorry for ending things between them, saying that he honestly doesn't know why he did. He then asks if he and Izuku could ever rekindle what they had. Izuku, sensing the sincerity of Katsuki's apology-

-, decides to give him another chance. He would be lying if he said he didn't miss Katsuki. But he lays out a few new terms. He can't keep him secret and he has to make time for them. Katsuki agrees without hesitation, promising to do his best to make Izuku the happiest nerd-

-on the planet.
