Katsuki and Izuku had been together for years. And to outsiders, they were the perfect couple. Hell, even Izuku thought they would be together forever. So, when he arrived outside his boyfriend's office to surprise him for their-
-anniversary, he was shocked to hear what Katsuki was saying.

"The nerd's gotta go. Love him to death, but I need my company to thrive, and he is just a distraction."

Another voice rang out. It was Kirishima.
"Look dude. All I'm saying is don't be so quick to drop Midoriya from your life just 'cause you want to be successful.".

Katsuki scoffed. Kirishima sighed and turned, leaving the office. After he closed the door, he turned, only to see Izuku, stunned in silence, tears welling-
-up, and silently sobbing. Kirishima slung his arm around Izuku and led him out of the building.

"Let's go, bro. I'll help you pack your stuff…".

Izuku nodded before shakily walking away from his now ex-boyfriend's office.
Izuku and Kirishima arrived at Izuku's and Katsuki's shared apartment.

"Anyone you want to call to help?"

"Uraraka. Todoroki. Mom."

Kirishima noticed Izuku looked emotionless. Numb to the pain, but knew deep down it was the most painful thing he was experiencing.
"Got it. I'll call them now.".

Kirishima left the room, pulling out his phone and calling the people Izuku told him to.
.

.

.
It was late. Katsuki arrived at the apartment.

"Hey, Deku! We need to talk!"

Katsuki was met with nothing but silence. Katsuki flipped the switch to turn the lights on and noticed Izuku's shoes were not at the genkan.
"Deku?"

Once again, nothing but silence.

He walked towards the living room and noticed a note on the coffee table. He approached the note and looked to see what it had said.
"Dear Kacchan,
I just wanted to say that I heard what you had said about us in your office. So you don't have to worry. I already moved out and most of my stuff is already gone. I'm sorry I was a distraction to your company. I hope you also find someone to spend the rest of-
-your life with. And I know we aren't together, but I just wanted to say Happy Anniversary. I made your favorite spicy miso tofu.

Sincerely,
Izuku”
Katsuki stared at the letter, dumbfounded. The nerd heard him. He forgot their anniversary. But this is what he wanted right? The hard part was done for him. So why does he already regret it? Doesn't matter. He'll move on. He's got a company to run anyways. And that's what is-
-important.
.

.

.
It was now 5 months after their break up and Katsuki could only ever think of one thing. Izuku. He's tried calling Izuku, his friends, Kirishima, Inko, and his parents, but they either didn't respond or said that he needed to move on already.
But Katsuki wasn't ready to give up. He wanted to try calling Izuku one more time. He pulled his phone out and before he could make the call, he was met with breaking news. The CEO of his company's biggest rival announced his new relationship. The headline?
"Touya Todoroki announces relationship to rival Katsuki Bakugou's ex, Izuku Midoriya!"

Katsuki was dumbfounded. Izuku moved on. And to his rival, no less. He wanted to scream. But he wasn't quitting. He would win Izuku back, even if it meant selling his damn company.

#bkdk #dbdk QL CEO!BK angst w/ happy ending

Izuku took the breakup very hard at the start. He ended up staying with Shouto and Momo until he could find a place of his own, and Shouto and Momo were more than happy to help.
A month after he left, Izuku and Momo were having lunch together at a nearby café, having cups of Golden Tips Imperial.

Momo noticed that Izuku still looked lost in his own thoughts.

"Midoriya, do you want to talk about it? It's been a month and you really have spoken about it-
-since the night it happened.".

Izuku snapped back to reality.

"Oh… sorry, Yaoyorozu. It's just… When it comes to your relationship Todoroki, did he ever… say you were a distraction…?"

Momo took a sip of her tea before setting down her cup.
"He hasn't. In fact, he's told me quite the opposite. He says that he works to keep me and his family happy, even if he isn't."

Izuku looked down, upset.

"I see…".

Momo then rested a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
"If Bakugou said he only cared about his success, rather than keeping you happy and viewed you as a distraction, then he isn't the one. I'm sure you will find someone who makes you forget about all of this.".
Izuku smiled, and looked at Momo with a hopeful look no one had seen in a month.

"Thank you, Yaoyorozu."

The two then continued having their tea, enjoying the rest of their conversation.
.

.

.
Three months after the breakup, Izuku, Shouto, Momo, and Shouto's brother, Touya, were getting ready for a ball hosted by Touya for his company. Izuku was wearing a dark green suit, a black button up shirt, a red tie, and a nice pair of black dress shoes.
"And… there.", he said, finishing up.

He then left the guest room and made his way to the others.

"You look wonderful, Izuku!", Momo said, amazed by Izuku's appearance.

"You look beautiful, too, Yaoyorozu!", he said, equally amazed by Momo's maroon ball gown and expensive-
ruby necklace.

"Shall we?", Touya asked, wrapping his shoulder around Izuku.

Everyone nodded and began making their way to Touya's limousine.

Izuku was nervous about attending the gala with Touya, who asked him to be his date, platonically to avoid being a third wheel with-
-any of his siblings, all of whom were bringing their significant others.

Sure, Touya could just talk with his employees, get to know his workers, but he ain't exactly a people person. And given that Izuku is just super socially awkward around new people, he figured hanging out-
-with Touya couldn't be terrible.

They arrived at the ball and made their way to the VIP table, which housed Fuyumi, Natsuo, their spouses, and Rei.

"Midoriya, it's so nice to see you again!", said Fuyumi, excited to see Shouto's first friend.

"Likewise.", Izuku responded.
Natsuo simply gave Izuku a wide grin and held his fist out for a fist bump, which Izuku happily reciprocated.

Everyone took their seats while Touya went up to deliver a speech to his company, but really all he gave was an impassioned, "Thanks for coming, I guess.", before-
-taking his seat.

.

.

.
It was now the end of the night and it was time for the last dance. Everyone and their dates went to the dance floor and to Izuku's dismay, the song chosen to play was the song Katsuki and he danced to on the night of their senior prom. Izuku, to avoid causing a scene with his-
-tears, made his way to the outdoor patio of the venue.

"Not having fun?", said a raspy voice.

Izuku turned to see Touya leaning against the door frame, looking at him with his bright blue eyes.

"Oh no, that's not it. Just needed some fresh air.".
Touya sighed and approached.

"Look, we both know I ain't a people person, so if you want to talk, this is your only chance to talk to me.".

Izuku sighed and responded, "That song was my favorite song, before Kacchan and I…".
Touya chuckled.

"Don't let that blonde bastard's bad decision get to you. His company may thrive, but he'll be fucking miserable with nothing but yes men in his life.".

They both remained quiet for a minute before Touya approached the somber greenette and grabbed his hand.
"Look, this is the final dance of the night. Don't let one song ruin your night.".

Izuku smiled and intertwined his fingers with Touya's, then rested his other hand on the taller man's shoulder, while Touya placed his other hand on Izuku's waist. They began swaying back and-
-forth to the song. A smile creeped on both of their faces while Izuku closed his eyes and nuzzled close to Touya's chest. The song neared its end and without thinking, Izuku said, "I love you…".
Touya's eyes widened in shock, while Izuku realized what he said.

"Wait! I'm sorry! It was the heat of the moment! I didn-", Izuku said, panicking before being cut off by Touya's lips connecting with his. Touya then broke the kiss and smirked at the silently shocked greenette.
"Had to shut you up somehow.".

Izuku's face turned redder than Kirishima's hair.

"Look, I… it's not that I'm not ready to move on. It's just… I'll just distract you from everything…".

Izuku looked down, scared of the CEO's response.
"You wouldn't be a distraction. If anything, it gives me something to work for.".

Izuku sighed.

"And what would that be?"

Touya grabbed his chin and tilted his head up.

"This is gonna sound fucking sappy, but, it's you. Your happiness or some shit.".
Izuku, remembering his talk with Momo from months before, on instinct, grabbed Touya's face and pressed a kiss of his own on Touya's lips. Touya reciprocated it. They broke it.

"Thank you, Touya.".

"Friends call me 'Dabi'.".

Both smiled and embraced each other.
.

.

.
It was now 5 months since the break up and Izuku and Touya had just gone public with their relationship. They were sitting in Touya's apartment, eating lunch when Izuku's phone began ringing.
"Who's calling ya, bunny?"

Izuku looked at the name.

"Kacchan…".

After receiving many calls for the last few months and ignoring them, Izuku finally decided to answer.
"Deku. We need to talk."

"Ok. But after, you leave me and my friends alone.".

Katsuki then sighed.

"Deal.".

PART 3
#bkdk #dbdk angst w/ happy end
Katsuki sat in his office, holding his face in his hands after his call with Izuku had ended. Izuku seemed different. More stand-offish compared to the note he had left the night of their breakup. He then heard a knock on his office door.
"What?".

The door opened to reveal Kirishima. The second he entered the office, Kirishima knew something was up with the blonde.

"Everything good, Bakubro?"

Katsuki let out a heavy sigh.

"Izuku finally answered. He agreed to talk with me.".
Kirishima had a look on his face that screams 'this is a bad idea'.

"Look, bro. I am glad and all that Izuku has finally agreed to talk things out with you, but I know you. You forget that Izuku is just as stubborn as you are. He ain't gonna leave Touya Todoroki just like that-
-cause you want him back.".

Katsuki rose from his seat, clearly angered by Kirishima's words.

"And what does that tatted up fuck have that I don't, huh?!".

Kirishima looked unthreatened, used to the blonde's outbursts.
"The ability to prioritize his relationship while running his business.", the red head clapped back.

Katsuki was ready to yell back, but sank back into his office chair, because deep down, Kirishima was right. Hell, he even planned on dumping the greenette on their anniversary.
But it still isn't over. He can still show Izuku that he truly does love him. That he will think of him more once they are reunited. He pressed a button on his office phone console, connecting him to his secretary.
"Make a reservation for the bistro down the street for 5 P.M.. And pay them extra to have it empty for just Izuku and I.".

"Yes, sir. I'll do that right away."

"Thank you.".
Kirishima sighed.

"Just don't do anything stupid. Izuku is happy. Isn't that what matters?".

"I'm not giving up. Not yet."

Katsuki then rose up, grabbing his coat, and left his office, leaving Kirishima there in frustration.
.

.

.
Izuku and Touya were driving to the bistro that Katsuki had texted Izuku to meet him at.

"Want me to go in with you, bunny?"

Izuku shook his head.
"No. Stay here. If he sees you, he'll become unreasonable. And knowing him, he already views this as some contest.".

Touya placed a kiss on Izuku's temple.

"If you need me, I'll come in."
Izuku smiled and left the car, walking briskly into the bistro. He looked to see Katsuki looking back at him. He made his way to the table.

"Hey, De-Izuku."

"Hello, Kacchan."
Izuku sat down.

"So how have you been, Izuku?"

"I've been doing ok."

There was an awkward silence. Katsuki decided to break it.

"Listen Izuku, I-"

"Kacchan, I know what you want. I'm not stupid.".
Izuku took a sip of the champagne Katsuki ordered for him.

"Izuku, please. I know I messed up. And I know I don't deserve you or your forgiveness, but please. We've been through so much together already. Don't throw it all away.".
Izuku set his champagne glass down, refusing to make eye contact with the blonde.

"You threw it all away the day you said I was nothing but a distraction. You threw it all away when you forgot our anniversary. But I already forgave you, Kacchan. Because you are right. We have-
-been through a lot. I do still want you in my life. But you were also right about something else. In a romantic sense, you don't deserve me. Dabi does.".

Katsuki looked down, holding back tears and anger.
"Please… I'll do anything. Just please come back. I shouldn't have even thought those things about you.".

Izuku stood up from his seat, and pulled the blonde into a hug.
"I know you're hurting. And I know what it feels like. But, Kacchan. You have to move on. You have friends to help you. You have your parents. It won't be easy, but you are Katsuki freaking Bakugou. I know you will find someone. You're still my best friend, ok? I know I said to-
-leave me alone when you called, but if you ever want to talk or even hang out, you can always call me.".

Katsuki remained quiet while Izuku let him go.

"I'll give you some space. I'll talk to you later, Kacchan.".
Izuku then made his way out of the bistro and into Touya's car.

Katsuki remained in his seat, muttering under his breath.

"Please… don't choose him…".

PART 4

#bkdk #dbdk angst w/ happy ending

Touya sat in his car, waiting for Izuku to finish his conversation with the blonde bastard. While scrolling through his phone, he received a phone call from Shouto. He answered his phone, putting it up to his ear.
"What is it, Sho? Someone better be dying if it's important enough to interrupt time with the bunny."

"It's father. He came up to me while I was having lunch with mom. He has requested a private meeting between you and him regarding your relationship.
He didn't sound too pleased.".

Touya scoffed. He never liked his father. Always hounding him about how to run his business. He never listened to that judgmental bastard and look at him now. His business has never stopped thriving.
"Whatever. Let me drop off Izuku at his dad's place and then I'll talk to him.".

"Alright. Take care, Touya. Give Midoriya my regards.".

Touya hung up the phone just as Izuku entered his car. He then softly grabbed Izuku's chin, placing a quick on his lips.
"How did it go with that menace to society?"

"Fine. I just hope he will be ok. And don't call him a menace. You may be rivals, but be respectful.".

Touya chuckled and began driving from the bistro.

"So, what does your dad need you for, bunny?".
"Well, he has a special fundraiser meeting regarding taking his work worldwide and he has a good feeling about it. Said he wanted my mom and I there for when gets approved. You can join if you want. I'm sure my parents would be happy to see you."
"Unfortunately, I can't join ya. My dad wants to have a meeting of his own with me. But it's nothing to worry about. Just about how he hates me running his business.".

Touya knew it was wrong to lie about the real cause of the meeting. But he didn't want to worry Izuku.
.

.

.
Izuku arrived inside the presentation room inside the office building for his dad's charity.

"Hey, dad!"

Hisashi turned around, holding a tablet containing his presentation.

"Izuku! Glad you could make it!"
"Dad, I literally work with you almost every other day. I wouldn't miss your next big presentation. It's part of my job.".

Both men laughed.

"So where's mom?"

Izuku looked around the room, filled with employees, volunteers, and potential sponsors for the fundraiser.
"She's busy chatting up the sponsors. She wants to help make a good impression.".

"I see. Well, good luck, dad! I know you will do well.".

Izuku then left his father to take a seat while his father went upstage to begin his presentation and offers.
After his presentation, which consisted of ideas on starting branches worldwide, helping with disaster relief, shelter for the homeless, and massive fundraising event held in Tokyo, Hisashi pulled Izuku to the side.
"Izuku, I want to ask you something. And it's ok if you don't accept, but you are one of the people I trust the most. When this goes worldwide, I want you to be the head of the branch in Otheon. But I know it would be hard to leave all your friends and Touya behind, so like I-
-said, if you don't want to, that's fine, kiddo.".

Izuku looked conflicted. He was excited his dad's presentation went well and sponsors were interested. He was over the moon to be offered head of the Otheon branch, but he didn't want to leave his rooted life in Japan.
He had great friends, his caring family, and a loving boyfriend all here in Japan.

"Let me have time to think and I'll get back to you, dad.".

Hisashi smiled softly and hugged his son.

"Of course, kiddo. There's no rush.".
Izuki reciprocated the hug with a soft smile of his own.

.

.

.
Touya reached his parent's household. He had a massive look of disdain as he walked the halls of the massive manor. He then approached the door to his father's study, taking deep breaths. He then opened the door to see his father sitting at his desk, waiting for him.
"Touya, take a seat.".

Touya complied, hesitantly.

"What the hell is this about?"

"About that relationship of yours."
Touya rolled his eyes.

"Ain't nothing wrong with my relationship with Izuku."

"And yet, there is. You are the CEO of a goddamn business, for Christ's sake! That… boy is simply whoring himself to any big name CEOs he can! First that Bakugou kid, and now you. Next thing you-
-know, he'll be in a 'relationship' with Yoarashi or Shindo."

Upon hearing that, Touya rose from his seat, slamming his hands on the desk.

"Izuku isn't a fucking whore! You have no right to decide how I live my life! I've lived the way I want to for years and you just hate-
-the fact that your advice never worked!"

Enji simply stared at him with what appeared to be an emotionless face.
"Look. You're siblings, there relationships are fine. Fuyumi is a teacher so she has time to spare with her husband, same with Natsuo and that fellow doctor he is engaged to. Even Shouto and the Yaoyorozu girl are acceptable due to her family's status. But I will not have that-
-Midoriya boy sully our name. So… it is either you get rid of the boy, or I will not only make your life a living hell, but Fuyumi, Natsuo, and Shouto's careers are just as much as done as yours will be.".
Touya exuded pure rage.

"You can't do that to them!".

"Then you know what must be done.".

Touya stormed out of the office, tears threatening to burst out of him, but he made up his mind. He knew what he thought was best.
.

.

.
Touya waited outside Hisashi's office building waiting for Izuku. When Izuku exited, he happily ran towards Touya, but as he got closer, he noticed an emotionless face plastered onto his face.

"Hey… is everything ok? How did your meeting go?".

Touya looked at him. His once-
-loving blue eyes contained nothing.

"Look, I had time to think. I don't think this is working out, Izuku.".

Izuku stumbled back in shock, his voice beginning to waver.

"What…? But we… But I thought…"
"I simply have to focus on my business right now. You are just too much of a distraction for me to be in my life."

Izuku began to think back to when Katsuki called him the same thing, and all the times Touya assured him that Katsuki was wrong. To all the good memories-
-now tainted with the same trauma.

"Have a good life, Midoriya. See ya around.".

Touya then entered his car, driving off and leaving behind a broken Izuku.

As Touya drove off, he couldn't hold it back anymore. The tears began to fall.
As with Izuku, he stood there, tears also falling. Hisashi and Inko both saw him and as soon as they saw that he was breaking down, rushed to his side.

"Baby, what's wrong? Tell us, honey.".

"Touya just broke up with me.".
Inko immediately pulled her son into a hug, who then proceeded to sob into her shoulder. Hisashi then joined the hug

"Why would he do that?".

Between broken sobs, Izuku said, "He's just like Kacchan. Said I was a distraction. Am I a distraction to you guys, too?".
Inko wanted to cry after hearing that while Hisashi was containing his anger.

"Listen to me, kiddo. You are never a distraction. Every ounce of success we have is because we wanted you to have a good life. We couldn't be happier to have you as our son.".

They remained silent-
-for a few minutes. Izuku looked to his dad.

"I'll do it. I'll go to Otheon and become the head of the charity over there. There's nothing holding me back. Not anymore.".

"Are you sure?".
Izuku nodded.

"And I want to fly out there tomorrow, if possible.".

Hisashi and Inko looked at each other before looking at their son.

"Ok… I'll book us a flight. We can search for a good place for you to move into when we get there.".
.

.

.
It was the next day and Izuku and Hisashi were waiting by their gate in the airport. Izuku had remained quiet since the night before and before he boarded the flight, he sent one last text to two people before blocking all of his friends' numbers.
To Kacchan: Goodbye, Kacchan.

To Touya: Goodbye
Hisashi and Izuku then boarded the plane and Izuku never looked back, doing his best to focus on his future.

Katsuki did his best to try and call Izuku but was only met with the messaging system, saying, "The number you are trying to contact cannot be reached.".
"Stupid nerd… where the hell are you?".

Meanwhile with Touya, he simply stared at the message, heartbroken over having to leave Izuku.

"I'm so sorry…"

.

.

.
~Two Years Later~

Izuku landed in Japan, exiting the plane with his friend, Rody Soul, in tow. Izuku had pretty much given up on love after Touya and hadn't dated anyone since he started living in Otheon.

"So this is Japan.".
"Yes, Rody. Don't get too comfortable, though. We are only here to meet with more potential sponsors for the Otheon branch of my dad's charity.".

When Izuku and Rody both reached baggage claim, they were met with Hisashi and Inko, both unable to contain their excitement over-
-seeing their son again.

"I missed you guys! Mom. Dad. This is Rody Soul. Best friend and personal assistant.".

"Nice to meet ya, Izuku's parents."

"Likewise, Mr. Soul.".
Inko then approached Izuku.

"Honey, we weren't the only ones here who wanted to surprise you.".
Izuku looked confused and looked to see Inko gesturing towards his crowd of friends that, despite cutting them off, still missed him dearly. And among the crowd? Katsuki and Touya, both with longing looks.
Izuku muttered under his breath.

"Shit…".

PART 5

#bkdk #dbdk angst w/ happy ending

It had been a few days after Izuku left and Katsuki had done nothing but try to call the greenette after receiving the text.

"Fucking damn it… where is that damn nerd?"
After a few minutes of pacing back and forth in his home, he heard a knock on his door. He walked over and opened it. Deep down, he knew it wasn’t Izuku, but he was hopeful. But that hope was soon crushed when he saw Uraraka and Shinso.
"Ugh… What do you two want? Come to rub it in my face that Izuku finally moved on.

Katsuki didn't seem to notice their sullen expressions, too wrapped up in his own worry and guilt.

"Um… actually we haven't heard anything from him these past few days. Any time anyone else-
-calls, it doesn't go through.".

"So the nerd is blocking everyone out? Where the hell did he go?"

Shinso sighed.

"No idea. We were planning on stopping by his parents' place in case you didn't know anything.".
"Why would I know? I ain't the one dating him anymore. Why not ask that tatted up asshole?".

Uraraka's eyes widened up.

"You didn't hear?"

"Hear what, Cheeks?"
"Touya broke up with him. Todoroki told us the night it happened.".

Katsuki then walked away, grabbing his car keys.

Shinso and Uraraka both turned and followed him.

"Where are you going?"

"The Midoriya's. I'm finding out where the fuck the nerd went. If that asshat said-
-anything to him that caused this, then my business is sending his crashing to the ground. Now are you coming or not?!"

Both Uraraka and Shinso then entered his car in a hurry, soon speeding off towards the Midoriya's.
.

.

.
The trio soon reached their destination, a moderately sized house that seemed a little big for three people. They approached the front door and Katsuki knocked three times.

The door then opened to reveal Inko.

"Katsuki… what are you doing here? Is everything alright?"
"You tell me! One day, I have a talk with Deku about our relationship, telling me that he will always be there, and then a few hours later, I receive a text from him saying goodbye and I can't reach him! Where is the damn nerd?!".

Inko sighed.
"Why don't you three come inside? I have some tea brewing.".

They then followed Inko into the dining room, sitting at the table.

She sets up their cups and pours everyone a hot cup of tea.

"Where is Deku, auntie?"

Inko looked at Katsuki.
"Izuku received an offer from his father to run a branch of his charity in another country. At first, he was hesitant to accept, most likely wanting to talk it out with Touya. But… after the meeting, Touya told Izuku he was a distraction… just like you did. But with Touya, it-
-hurt him worse than it did with you. While Izuku was most definitely hurt by you saying that, hearing it a second time from another significant other took a toll on him.".

Katsuki shook with anger. Uraraka placed a hand on his shoulder, somewhat snapping back to reality.
"Another thing is I do believe that if things had gone your way, you would have told him in a way where your friendship could be salvageable, but hearing you had a talk with him days ago, I still do believe you care for each other. But with Touya, when Izuku told us that night,-
-he seemed so… cold about it. It was so unlike him. He was never cold or mean to Izuku, even before their relationship.".

Shinso took a sip from his tea, before setting it down and looking at Inko.

"Do you think maybe something happened that made Touya break it off? Maybe-
-something out of his control?"

"Possibly… But right now, I want to assuage your worries. Izuku is ok. And one day, he will come back. And when he does, I'll tell you when.".
Uraraka and Shinso offered polite smiles before standing and offering their thanks.

"Thank you, Mrs. Midoriya. You really helped answer our questions.", Uraraka said.

"Yeah. We'll let the others know Midoriya's ok.", Shinso added.
They then left. Katsuki stayed.

He pulled out his wallet, writing a check for 350,000 yen.

"Donate this to whatever branch Deku is in charge of anonymously. It's the least I can do after what I did to him…".
Inko took the check and hugged Katsuki

"Just know you are always welcome here, Katsuki. And give your mother my regards.".

Katsuki stood up and silently bowed before exiting.

He sat in his car, trying to call Izuku one last time, to no avail.
.

.

.
Nearly two years after Izuku had left, Katsuki was sitting at a nearby café, waiting for someone.

"Katsuki, how nice to see you.".

Katsuki stood and hugged a happy Inko and a smiling Hisashi.

"Likewise, auntie.".
All three of them sat down.

"He asks about you almost everyday, you know.".

Katsuki set his cup down and gave a sorrowful look at Hisashi.

He opened his mouth to speak, but was cut off by the Midoriya patriarch.
"And stop apologizing. Izuku already forgave you a long time ago.".

Katsuki closed his mouth. Inko then grabbed his hand.

"And I know he appreciates your donations, even if they are made anonymously. You don't have to worry about him.".
But Katsuki couldn't help but worry. He is in a different country. What if he found someone new? What if there was no love between them anymore that could be sparked anew? All these thoughts were running through his head before something Hisashi said brought him back.
"Izuku is coming back for a meeting in a month.".

"What…".

"We want you there when he arrives. He could use a few friends when he gets back. Working nonstop in a different country definitely changed him a bit. Whether it is for better or for worse remains to be seen.".
Katsuki nodded.

"Thanks.".

Unbeknownst to the three of them, sitting at a nearby table was Touya, now sporting his natural white hair, clad in a beanie and glasses, and he had just overheard their conversation. He was gonna set things straight with his bunny before that-
-blonde bastard, and this time, his father won't stop him.

PART 6

#bkdk #dbdk angst w/ happy ending

The first few months after their breakup and Izuku's departure were hell for Touya. It never helped that he would always see his siblings happy with their lives. They had good careers, loving partners that their asshole father approved-
-of. Simply attending a family dinner made him want to lash out on everyone. He sacrificed his happiness for theirs and they don't even know, except for maybe Shoto. So why is he so angry? His siblings' happiness should be enough, yet it isn't. He's miserable.
Touya was outside in the courtyard of his family's estate, smoking a cigarette.

"Don't think we haven't noticed that shitty attitude of yours.".

Touya looked to see Natsuo walking towards him, concern strewn across his face.

"The hell do ya want, Natsu?".
Touya then tapped his cigarette, ashes dropping to the ground before bringing it back to his lips.

"Ever since your breakup, you've been much colder to everyone. Fuyumi, Shoto, and I are just worried there is something more going on. Everything ok?".
Touya scoffed.

"Never been better.", he said with sarcasm poisoning his words.

"Look, we just want to be there for you. You deserve to be happy jus-".

Natsuo was then cut off by Touya.
"Our bastard father didn't think so…".

"What…?"

"You really wanna know what happened? Fine. Dad forced me to dump Izuku cause he felt that Izuku was a gold digging whore. Said if I didn't, he would not only tank my career, but your's, Fuyumi's, and Shoto's as well. So I-
-really hope your enjoying your lives cause I had to sacrifice the one thing that I really cared about.".

Touya put out his cigarette before trying to walk away, being stopped by Natsuo grabbing his wrist and pulling him into a hug.
"Dude, I'm so sorry…".

Touya remained silent, breaking the hug.

"Maybe if we explain it to Midoriya then you guys can-"

"Don't bother. Shoto told me that Izuku left the country the day after we broke up. I'm also blocked. And before you suggest anything else, his parents-
-want nothing to do with me. Believe me, I've tried reaching out to Hisashi. Didn't go well.".

Touya then walked away, leaving Natsuo both even more concerned for Touya, and enraged at their dad. Shoto and Fuyumi approached Natsuo.
"We sorta heard everything. I can't believe dad made him do that…".

"I have an idea, but I'm not entirely sure it will work.".

Both Natsuo and Fuyumi looked at Shoto, who looked very determined.

.

.

.
It was a few days later and Touya was doing paperwork in his office when there was a knock.

"Come in.".

When he looked to see who was here, he saw Shoto and Hisashi both standing there, with Hisashi not looking very pleased.
"Touya, Shoto tells me there was more to your… fallout without my son?".

Touya sighed and muttered, "Fucking Natsu…".

He then looked at Hisashi.

"Please take a seat.".
Hisashi complied, sitting across from Touya.

"It wasn't my decision to break up with Izuku.".

"What the hell does that mean?".

"Let me explain, sir. My father, Enji Todoroki, said that I had to break up with him. Initially, I refused to. My father, however, called him things-
-that could never be associated with Izuku. He also said that if I chose to stay with him, then he would destroy not only my careers, but my siblings' careers as well. However, I am truly sorry for all of the trouble my actions caused Izuku.".
Touya then stood up and bowed.

Hishashi sighed and stood up.

"Look. What you did was very noble. I respect that you care for your family very much, going as far as to sacrifice your happiness for theirs. But I'm not the one who you should be apologizing to. And until Izuku-
-forgives himself, then I myself won't accept your apology. But, thank you for being honest with me. Have a nice day, Touya. Shoto.".

Hisashi then left the office.

"Leave, Shoto. I have work to do.".
Touya sat down, clearly upset. Shoto didn't argue and left the office.

.

.

.
Nearly two years later, Touya, now sporting his natural white hair, was driving towards Shoto and Momo's place. He approached their door, knocking on it. The door opened to reveal Shoto, confused by his brother's sudden appearance.
"Touya? What are you doing here?".

"I want you to take me with you when Izuku arrives at the airport next month.".

"How do you even know about that?"

"Doesn't matter. Will you take me or not?"
Shoto sighed.

"I already planned on telling you about it and bringing you. I want you to be happy."

Touya smirked

"I know. I just want to make sure that blonde idiot doesn't make a move on him first.".
Shoto looked at Touya

"Look, I understand you still love Izuku, but it really should be his choice on who he picks, don't you think? I mean, he's only coming back for a couple weeks. He may even choose no one.".

Touya groaned.
"I'm still not giving up, Shoto. Izuku will be mine again, one day.".

Touya then left without another word.

"Oh, Touya…".
.

.

.
~Present Day~

Izuku broke his gaze upon both exes and began hugging his friends that showed up. After he was done, he approached Katsuki, giving him a friendly hug, which the blonde happily reciprocated.
"Next time you disappear, answer your damn phone.".

Katsuki smirked and broke the hug. Izuku chuckled.

"I will. Sorry about all of the trouble. I just needed space.".

"Don't apologize, nerd. I'm just glad you are ok.".
Izuku smiled and then coldly looked towards Touya.

"Izuk-".

"It's Midoriya to you.".

"...Midoriya, I just wanted to say that I'm really glad to see you. I want the chance to explain what happened.".
Izuku remained emotionless, before sighing.

"Look, I'll try to meet up, but no promises. I'm here on business and to spend time with people who are actually worth my time. Have a nice day, Todoroki…".

Izuku was then approached by his mother.
"Mitsuki and Masaru invited us over for lunch later today. Do you want to ride with us or with Katsuki?".

Izuku pondered for a minute before making his decision.

"I'll ride with Kacchan. I'll have Rody ride with you guys. That way he can give dad the necessary paperwork for-
-the meetings this week.".

Inko nodded and Katsuki approached them.

"Let's get going, nerd. Food ain't gonna be hot forever.".

Everyone left the baggage claim area, except for Touya, who could only think of one thing.
He's lost Izuku.

TBC
It was a little while after Izuku had lunch with the Bakugou's and both Izuku and Katsuki were taking a walk to catch up with one another.

"So now that I know that were in fucking Otheon, of all places, why come back?"
"Like I said to… him. I'm here for a big meeting regarding the future of my dad's charity. And he said he wanted me here in person for this meeting. Normally, we would just Zoom, but it must be important if he wanted me here.".
Katsuki then looked down, nervous.

"And that Rody guy that came with you. Are you guys…?".

Izuku gave a light chuckle.
"No. He and I aren't together. Frankly, I gave up on love after Touya broke up with me. Just felt that I needed to stop distracting people. It's also why I stopped texting and calling everyone except for my parents.".
Katsuki looked at Izuku.

"Look, you damn nerd. What I said to you was wrong and I know we already talked before you left, but my damn feelings haven't changed. I still do love you.".

Izuku sighed.
"If I'm being honest, I still do love you, too. You were my first love. You'll always have a place in my heart. But… deep down, I still love Touya, too. Seeing both of you earlier was hard for me. I'm still mad and upset about everything, of course. But still…".
"Deku, normally this would be the part where I plead my case, saying why you should choose me instead of that asshole, but I want you to choose me after you work through all your shit with him. It won't be a real victory for us if you choose me while he is hurting, even if it-
-is that damn tatted up fuckface.".

Izuku looked down, still conflicted.

"You really have changed, Kacchan. In a good way, I promise."

Katsuki smirked.
"I know. I'm kind of amazing.".

Both laughed in unison.

Izuku pulled out his phone, sending a message to Touya.

To Touya: Meet me at the park tomorrow at noon. We need to talk.
"When you finally make a decision, no matter what it is, tell me. And no matter what, I'll support it. You hear me?".

Izuku nodded. His phone then pinged. He looked down to see a message from Touya.
From Touya: I'll be there. See ya then.

"Let's head back. Bet ya the old hag is driving that idiot friend of yours crazy.".

"Kacchan, Rody isn't an idiot!"
Both began walking to the Bakugou household, Katsuki laughing and Izuku pouting.

TBC
Sorry for the shorter part, but after the next part, I will put up the poll up for the endgame ship and whatever doesn't get chosen will be posted as a non-canon alt ending.
PART 8

#bkdk #dbdk angst w/ happy ending

Touya sat down on a bench at the park, slightly shaking in anticipation, nervously tapping his left foot.

"This seat taken?".
Touya looked up to see Izuku looking at him, nervousness written across him as well.

"All yours.".

Izuku sat down. Both remained quiet, surrounded by awkwardness.

"So… you wanted to talk…".
Touya sighed.

"Yeah. I did. I wanted to explain why we broke up.".

"You already told me why, remember?".

"I meant the real reason why…".
Izuku tilted his head in confusion.

"The meeting I had with my dad that night was about you. He said… some fucked up things about you. Said that if I didn't break it off with you, he would ruin my siblings.".
"I understand where your heart was at. And I know your father isn't reasonable, but we could have fought that together. Not just us, but Natsuo, Fuyumi, and Shoto. I've known your family since my first year of high school. You don't just give up, even when given an ultimatum.".
Touya remained quiet.

"Look. I do forgive you, but I'm not sure if I even want to be in a relationship right now. I still do love you, but I love Kacchan, too.".

Touya placed a hand on Izuku's, voice wavering.
"Please… don't choose him. I still love you. So fucking much.".

Izuku calmy pulled his hand away.

"If you love me, you'll let me choose what I want.".

Touya looked down, visibly.

Izuku stood up.
"Have a good day, Touya.".

He then placed a kiss on Touya's cheek and turned to leave.

"Hey.".

Izuku turned to Touya.

"Hm?".
Touya gave a slight smile.

"Friends call me Dabi.".

Izuku smiled and left the park.

.

.

.
Izuku was now having dinner with Rody, Kirishima, Ashido, and Shoto.

"So, Midobabe! Tell us! How is Otheon?".

Izuku laughed.

"Otheon is great. The people are nice. The food is delicious. The only downside is currently sitting next to me.".
Everyone laughed, except Rody, who gave a comical pouty face.

"Haha hero. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't even know what parts of Otheon needed help."

Izuku smiled at Rody.

"I'm just messing with you. I am thankful for all of your help.".
"Ok. Now onto more pressing matters. Who do you plan on getting back together with?".

Before Izuku could speak, however, he was interrupted by Kirishima's fake cough.

"If I may, but I know you love both of these capable bachelors, but Bakubro hasn't been the same even before-
-you left. Frankly, he has been distracted because of you leaving, not being with you.".

Shoto then interrupted.

"Well, to be frank, I think Touya should be your choice. I have never seen him so distraught. Even when he started to feel better, he still thought of you. Sure,-
-our dad will be a problem, but you can always work past that.".

"But Midobro and Bakubro have history.".

"And Midoriya and my brother have unfinished business.".

Izuku stood up, angry.
"Stop! This is my choice!".

"Midobabe…".

Ashido pulled down Izuku, who calmed down and let out a heavy breath.

"I appreciate your input and care for those two, but I really need to make this choice on my own.".
Everyone fell silent, before Rody quickly changed the topic of conversation.

.

.

.

Everyone left the Midoriya household while Izuku decided to stay outside to get some air, staring at two numbers on his phone. He made his choice and he knew who he wanted to be with.

TBC.
The thread is almost done! We just have the ending and the alt ending left and the means it is time for the poll! Who do you want to see Deku end up with?
FINAL PART

#bkdk angst w/ happy ending

Hisashi stood up in front of an audience for his big announcement and sitting in the front row were Izuku, Inko, Shoto, Momo, Rody, and Kirishima.

Izuku, however, was zoning out. Inko took noticed and nudged her son back into reality.
"Is everything ok, sweetie?".

"Oh um… I invited someone to join but they haven't shown up yet.".

"Oh. Who did you invite?".

Izuku hesitated.

"...I invi-".

He was then cut off by his father.

"Now for the big reason why we are all here. I think after the many years of-
-building up this charity and witnessing all the hard work and dedication each of our employees and volunteers have put in, I think it is time that I retire.".

Incomprehensible chatter began throughout the crowd. Hisashi then raised his hand, bringing the talking to a stop.
"And I would like my son, Izuku Midoriya, to step up as the new head of my life's work.".

Eyes were now on Midoriya, who looked at his father, speechless.

"Join me on stage, Izuku.".

Izuku stood up slowly and nervously joined his father on stage. His father then motioned him-
-towards the mic.

"Uh… hi, everyone. First off, I would like to say that I appreciate my father's hard work to help everyone he could. I'm sure a lot of people are grateful for his help. And second,...".

He paused, looked at his father, contemplating his decision.
"...I will gladly accept the role you have given. I will do my best to make you proud.".

He then turned back to the crowd, which was now applauding him. He went to his father and gave him a hug. Hisashi then broke the hug, smiling at his son.

"You already make me proud, Izuku.
You always have and always will.".

Izuku then smiled.

"Now. Get ready cause in a few minutes, businessmen are gonna do their best to persuade you with potential sponsorships.".

Izuku nodded and took deep breaths.

.

.

.

After talking with a lot of people congratulating-
-him and offering sponsorships, he was approached by a familiar face.

"Hello, Izuku.".

Izuku and his father looked to see Enji Todoroki approaching him.

"Mr. Todoroki…".

Enji chuckled.

"Please. Call me Enji. Look, I know a hard worker when I see one and I would love it if-
-our businesses could help one another out.".

Izuku, now with the knowledge of why Touya dumped him, gave an emotionless look.

"No thank you, Enji."

"Please think this through. I don't think you understand the benefit of-".

He was then cut off by Shoto.

"Don't bother-
-Midoriya, father. What happened to him sullying our name?".

"Shoto, I said nothing of the sort. Whatever Touya told you is-".

"I never said anything about Touya…".

Izuku placed his hand on Shoto's shoulder.

"Thanks, Todoroki, but I can handle it from here.".

He then-
-turned back to Enji.

"Sorry, but I don't want to work with you. I wish you well. But interfere with any sort of relationship I have with any of your family again, and I will make sure your company won't last another year.".

Enji scoffed and left. Everyone else was shocked by-
-Izuku's sudden personality change. Izuku then turned and suddenly was his happy self again.

"That was hot.".

Izuku turned to see another familiar face.

"You made it!".

"Told ya I would, nerd.".

Izuku ran up and gave a big hug to Katsuki, who reciprocated the hug. They then-
-roke the hug and stepped away from each other.

"So I'm guessing you're telling me who you chose…?".

Izuku nodded.

"Kacchan, we have known each other for a long time. We've seen each other go through so many ups and downs. Any memory I go back and visit, you're there and it-
-makes me realize that I can't imagine a life without you. I want you, Kacchan. You're who I choose.".

Shoto stepped forward.

"But Touya-"

"-Will be fine."

He was then cut off by a raspy voice and everyone turned to see Touya.

"Dabi… I'm really sorry… but-".

Touya rested-
-his hand on Izuku's shoulder.

"It's ok. I'll just wait for that bastard to mess up again. Sweep you off your feet.".

Both of them chuckled.

"We're still friends, right?"

"Didn't get mad that you called me 'Dabi', right?".

Izuku let out a smile.

"Also, pretty fucking cool-
-that you told off that bastard.".

Katsuki kept growing angrier every time Touya spoke.

"STOP FLIRTING WITH MY BOYFRIEND!!"

Touya simply shrugged, unbothered.

"If this gets you so angry, I may just have to flirt with your bunny some more.".

Touya laughed as he walked away-
-with Shoto in tow and Katsuki having to be held back by Izuku and Kirishima while Ashido and Rody couldn't help but laugh.

"Are you sure it's ok? I know he made you really happy, Touya.".

"I'm not happy that I wasn't chosen by him. Especially given that my competition was-
-that idiot. But as long as he is happy, then I have nothing to worry about.".

They both then left the building, off to their respective homes.

Once Katsuki had calmed down, both he and Izuku decided to take a breather from everyone outside, holding hands while staring at the-
-night sky.

"I'm glad we're together, again, Kacchan."

He then rested his head on Katsuki's shoulder.

"Me too, nerd.".

~3 Years Later~

"WHERE IS IT?!"

Kirishima and Kaminari, both dressed in black tuxedos and orange ties, flinched at Katsuki's yelling.
"Where's what, Bakubro?"

"THE GODDAMN GREEN ROSE FOR MY TUX, YA DUMBASS!!"

Kaminari laughed hysterically

"You're mad over a rose?"

"Dunce Face, this is my fucking wedding. If you want to live to see the joyous union of the nerd and I, you will shut your fucking mouth.".
Kaminari quickly gulped.

They were then interrupted by the sound of a knock on Katsuki's hotel room door.
Katsuki quickly closed the bathroom door in case it was his soon-to-be husband.

Kirishima quickly answered it to see Uraraka, who was wearing an elegant black dress with-
-hints of green.

"Uraraka! What brings you here?".

Katsuki then left the bathroom, silenty sighing in relief.

She then looked over to the blonde.

"Your rose for your tux got put into Izuku's things by mistake. Just came by to drop it off.".

Katsuki grabbed the rose from the-
-brunette.

"Thanks, Round Face. Hey, um… how does he look?".

Uraraka smiled warmly.

"He looks perfect.".

Katsuki smiled as he turned to return to the bathroom.

"Well, I'll see you all at the ceremony!"

Uraraka then left to return to Izuku's room.

Kirishima then closed-
-the door

"Phew. Glad we get to live long enough to actually continuing Bakugo's best men.".

Kirishima and Kaminari then fist bumped while Katsuki finished getting ready.

Meanwhile, with Izuku.

"How do I look?"

Touya simply went up to him, adjusting the coat of his tuxedo-
-and the orange rose attached to it.

"There. Now you look ready to ruin your life.".

Izuku then punched Touya's arm and pouted.

"I was just kidding. You look great. Hey, uh… thanks for inviting me to the wedding, even after everything.".

"Touya, you are literally one of my-
-best friends. Don't be surprised I invited you. You're also forgetting you are literally my best man so please keep it together so that I can keep it together.".

Uraraka then reentered the room.

"Rose is returned.".

"Thank you, Uraraka.".
"Just doing my duty as Maid of Honor.".

They were then interrupted by Hisashi entering Izuku's room.

"You ready, kiddo?".

Izuku nervously took a deep breath.

"Ready as I'll ever be.".

Hisashi chuckled and he escorted Izuku to the chapel with Touya and Uraraka in tow.
The music then started and Katsuki looked down the aisle to see Izuku in his beautiful white tux, being walked down to him by Hisashi. As they reached Katsuki, Hisashi let him go, but not before hugging his son.
Izuku then joined Katsuki at the altar.
"You look beautiful, Deku.".

Izuku smiled, tears welling up.

"As do you, Kacchan.".

Shoto then joined the couple to officiate the ceremony.

However, Izuku and Katsuki were lost in each other's eyes, tuning out what Shoto had been saying, but were snapped back by the-
-important part.

"Do you, Katsuki Bakugou, take Izuku Midoriya to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

Katsuki smiled.

"I do.".

"Do you, Izuku Midoriya, take Katsuki Bakugou, to be your lawfully wedded husband.".

"I do.".

"Then by the powers vested in me, I now pronounce you-
-husband and husband. You may now kiss the groom.".

Both of them smiled as they kissed one another, with the chapel erupting in applause.

Izuku and Katsuki then broke their kiss, foreheads resting against each other.

"I love you, Izuku."

"I love you too, Kacchan.".

END
And with that, the thread is finished! As promised there will be an alt ending where Dabi is picked, but I want to focus on the next thread first so look forward to that.
