1. In the next 6-12 months, people will slowly understand Cardano's true and original vision, as well as its power. Our current L1 alone, is not the complete #Cardano Protocol, here is why and where it is headed, a massive thread on everything Cardano: @IOHK_Charles @IOHKMedia

2. While our scalable and low-cost #L1 is spectacular, with a novel #eUTXO ledger, brand new dApps with Plutus, predictable fees, fast transactions and the best security both in dApps and in the protocol itself, Cardano aims to be the best of all worlds, this includes #EVM.

3. #Mamba will bring sidechains with EVM and other capabilities, such as use-case specific side-chains like Catalyst or other on-chain voting systems, ensuring transparency and security while being fast and low cost. EVM on side-chains will be Ethereum but fast, cheap and secure.

4. Slowly but surely, Cardano is becoming what it was intended to be: The one stop third-gen blockchain protocol with the best L1, to which there will be any number of fast and low-cost side-chains attached, for any virtual machine, ledger and use case, sharing the L1's security.

5. In the meantime, L1 will scale and is scaling as well. L1 can, will be and is used for smart-contract operations and dApps, especially with reference/readonly scripts and scaling solutions such as input endorsers, pipelining, network parameter tweaks and much more coming live.

6. While #TPS is a meaningless metric in an eUTXO ledger, Cardano's L1 is currently easily scaling to around 500-1000 TPS, including smart contract interactions and regular txs. Low and predictable fees, no fees for failed txs as always.

7. One thing that sets Cardano apart from other protocols is #Catalyst. Catalyst is a decentralized and open funding system/treasury, used to fund dApps in development.

8. While other protocols with account models use multi-million dollar VC funding deals for forks of ETH dApp's to artificially pump TVL and yield, here dApps and developers are funded in a decentralized manner, through voting and a massive treasury, all in the community's hands.

9. Both in how they are funded and how they are created, dApps in Cardano L1 are novel and unlike anything any other protocol offers right now. dApps in Cardano are provably secure thanks to Plutus, and they are novel in design thanks to the eUTXO ledger.

10. With regulation looming and hacks/scams being widespread in crypto, Cardano is ahead on this as well. The Catalyst funding system offers a built-in DAO for every dApp on Cardano. The dApp certification program will offer far greater security for every dApp on Cardano.

11. ERC-20 Converter is also coming, it will let people port their ERC assets to Cardano. Minotaur will also bring proof of work and proof of other things in the future, which further cements Cardano as a decentralized and distributed ledger with secure consensus mechanisms.

12. Microtransactions will also be much more real world applicable with isomorphic state channels; #Hydra. There are also a number of independent light wallets, without any VC funding, ensuring decentralization for every user. New tech can also be absorbed with new side-chains.

13. People will also start to understand the importance of a full node wallet, and the decentralization and security benefits of one. #Daedalus is available, a immutable full node wallet; a server and the entire blockchain. To emulate this with less weight, Mithril is coming.

14. People can even submit their txs through their own node, which can be spun up with a Raspberry Pi. Using light wallets like CCVault, people can use their own node and avoid any light wallet's mempool for submitting transactions, further decentralizing the ux.

16. With the #Ouroboros Protocol providing the absolute most secure root of trust (#Nakomoto Consensus), L1 is the heart of Cardano, and all side-chains attached to it will become use-case specific branches, creating a massive ecosystem, while being immutable and permissionless.

17. Anyone can and will be able to use Cardano and it's L1, or any of it's sidechains, or it's state channels, or better yet: create a use-case specific side-chain, completely tailored to one's wishes, both in coding language and in ledger type, speed and fees.

18. As for more L2 scaling, #ZKRollups are being researched as well. With no slashing and lock-up for staking, the base layer is extremely user-friendly. For on-chain identity, Atala Prism is here. Voltaire is the next phase of Cardano.

19. After Voltaire is complete, the community can even make decisions about fee levels, network parameters and many more things. Cardano in and of itself is novel, but Voltaire is something completely different. Until now, Cardano has been solving known problems with novel ideas.

20. With #Voltaire, Cardano aims solve unknown problems, with unknown solutions. Voltaire will be a giant leap forward in our ecosystem, and the infrastructure created will hopefully lay ground to further decentralized governance amongst other protocols.
